Any teachers /parents of DC who did IGCSE EdExcel Maths yesterday - question please?

Hi sorry if this is the wrong place to post.

Does anyone know if the second IGCSE EdExcel Maths paper yesterday morning was designed to be harder than the first (paper 1)? For other subjects eg IGCSE physics there is paper 1 and then paper 2 which is slightly more extended questions - is this also the case for maths? Many thanks if anyone has a clue or knows about rough grade boundaries for this maths paper.

If everybody found it hard then the number of marks needed to get each grade will be lower which is mentally demoralizing but good for the final result. I've seen lots of references online to the last 6 questions on that test being really hard which suggests lower grade boundaries. They won't know boundaries until they've marked al of the papers.

We are GCSE not iGCSE but science paper 1 and paper 2 topics are different

Thankyou pika. Yes DS was quite shocked by the last 6 questions or so and it was similar for many of his friends who are predicted 9s. The first paper was apparently ok, so they were wondering if paper 2 was an extension paper.

I don't know this syllabus but the papers are usually calculator and non-calculator, was this the case?

There were 2 papers (one before half term) and both were calculator.
