AIBU to think that the only less-than-drone-like behaviour we've seen from Melania was when she met the Irish prime minister? She genuinely looked happy to meet him - has she met him before?

Also, Trump analogising the Irish border with the Mexican border and the Irish prime minister interjecting with 'what we don't want is a wall and a border'. I genuinely smiled at that. Maybe Melania likes him as he's willing to stand up to Trump!

Did you see the Gardaí Twitter page asking nearby farmers to please respect the president and not spray silage or anything like that near where he'll be. All it was missing was wink wink, nudge nudge, go on, we've given you the idea now after it.

I wouldn't be surprised, they are pretty hacked off at having all leave and rest days cancelled at short to look after the great orange buffoon. This on top of the cost of the whole operation when we are told there's no budget for other things.

He is not "extremely right wing".
Ireland doesn't have a mainstream right wing politician. Varadkar is socially liberal and economically conservative, at most he's right of centre.
