AIBU to worry about my 8 year old's language or how dusty and neglected our house is (we are week 13 into renovations and building work and I work full-time). No money left for a cleaner. Please send sympathy and how to address the FUCK issue Confused

DD6 recently drew a cock and balls on the bathroom mirror. When questioned as to why she had done it, she claimed that "it's part of a face, mummy. What else would you think it was?"
Touché.

My ten year old spelled QUIM in Asda using their initial candles.

Wow! I get an urge to rearrange initialized mugs into rude words, and I can never find a U.

I have to settle for "arse", although I managed "bollocks" in M&S once.

I'm 63. Blush

8 years old and they didn't use bubble writing? He needs to up his game.

Supergrassyknoll · 05/06/2019 20:22

LTB

sorry!

Listen, don't fret, don't be silly, I remember writing a note to my brother around that age saying 'Marcus is a shithead' and despite being FULL ON terrified when my mum found it at what my punishment would be it was brushed under the carpet and she bought it up years later during a hilarious anecdote!

Supergrassyknoll · 05/06/2019 20:23

I'd left it on his bed btw 😬

Drivenmad80 · 05/06/2019 20:30

I've just written the word 'boobs' in the muck on my husbands car GrinI'm so immature 😂

My DD once decided to write a thank you message on the blackboard in our lodge at centre parc as she loved her holiday.i caught sight of it just as we were leaving.

She wrote 'poo bum' all over the board. She was nearly 4 so i was swaying between being impressed and mortified.

DS aged 3 was muttering “puck, puck, pucketty puck” to himself and then said “it’s fine Mummy, I’m not saying fuck” Hmm

I have to settle for "arse", although I managed "bollocks" in M&S once.

I think I might need to visit Markies tomorrow.

LittleGwyneth · 05/06/2019 22:27

Why would a builder do that? Ridiculous suggestion, smacks of snobbery.

It's OK OP. He's got neat handwriting and the spelling is correct. If it's any consolation my 22mo DS told DH last night "Dad yous a dickhead" obviously he's been listening to DH watching football. I choked on a biscuit! The joys of DC's.

SpeckofStardust · 06/06/2019 02:09

Very neat capitals there, quite impressive for an 8 yr old. Yeah, I think maybe just get out a duster and wipe the offending word away with a sarcastic ‘charming’ no need for more of a drama than that.

PissOffPeppa · 06/06/2019 02:40

Surely uck (lower case) is the same as UCK (upper case). Why would an 8 year old be able to manage one but not the other? Hmm

And I’d expect an 8 year old to be able to spell duck, so why would they struggle with fuck?
