To turn on a hosepipe and aim it at my downstairs neighbours open window?

Every time they start smoking weed?

I have shitty people living below me who apparently can’t make it through the day without getting stoned. This is in spite of the fact that they have a toddler. I’m 20 weeks pregnant, I’m tired, stressed and irritable and when it gets hot and stuffy in my flat (which is all the fucking time, thanks to the floor to ceiling south facing windows) I just want to be able to open my fucking windows and get some air. But every time I do my flat gets hotboxed as their weed smoke is going out of their window and coming straight into mine directly above!

My husband did attempt to speak to them about it once. The bloke threatened him with a hammer. We contacted the police, they didn’t give a fuck. I don’t know what else to do.

Ugh, that's awful. It stinks and I for one don't want to breathe in that.

Yeah, hosepipe

mumwon · 04/06/2019 17:04

I wouldn't - however much your tempted - but if they are in rental or its ha contact LL or HA

Picklypickles · 04/06/2019 17:12

Probably not the best idea if just speaking to the guy causes him to threaten you with a hammer.

AngeloMysterioso · 04/06/2019 17:13

We tried that too. They did nothing. They don’t care.

Ring social services if they are smoking weed with their toddler in the house

ScreamingValenta · 04/06/2019 17:14

It's cold and hammering down with rain where I am. I can only dream of feeling too hot!

Sorry you're in this situation, but don't put yourself at risk by antagonising them.

AngeloMysterioso · 04/06/2019 17:36

Unfortunately it doesn’t have to be warm outside for it to get hot in the flat. If the sun shines in for more than 5 minutes the temperature shoots up. It’s 26° in here right now!

Is moving a possibility? It doesn't sound like a good place to raise a baby. Weed smoke V extreme heat and risk of angering hammer wielding neighbour if you complain would make me want to move asap!

AngeloMysterioso · 04/06/2019 18:07

We are moving, but haven’t exchanged contracts yet and the whole process is taking forever. Still haven’t a clue when we’ll actually be out of here.
