To ask for help with PMS

Long story short, since having my children, now aged 6 and 4, my periods have been absolutely terrible. They're really heavy, to the point I'm anemic, although not painful and the PMS has been an absolute nightmare. I'm talking murderous rage for a week before hand, every 4 weeks.

So, is there anything anyone can recommend to help? I'm obviously going to my GP about it but constantly hitting a wall of 'go on the pill/injection/implant/coil'. Which results in permanent rage, mood swings and bleeding.

Mirena to lessen the bleeding? Or they might suggest an SSRI (anti-depressant) to lessen the rage - does work for some people. Others try natural remedies (evening primrose oil etc) but personally haven't had any joy with those.
