To ask if you saw a 'celebrity' would you approach them?

Just been in a pram shop and saw an actress from Hollyoaks, DH told me to ask for a pic but I said no because she was clearly busy being shown a pram 😂 so just wondering if you saw a celebrity in a shop would you approach them? Or let them get on with their life.

Also should they be ready to be approached constantly or not? Whats your opinion x

Just seen Boris Johnson. I definitely didn't approach him, he's a prick.

I mostly wouldn't but I have done once. It was someone very famous and my dh is a massive fan of them. I knew we'd never get the opportunity again and so asked for a photo. They were very gracious about it and kindly obliged (I was crapping myself that it might be one of those 'never meet your idols' type things though lol!).

I quite honestly couldn't give a toss.
I remember when I was a student and delivered pizzas to support myself......One was a sports star the other a actor off coronation street. both told me who they were and asked if I wanted a signed photo..."Erm, not really no, sorry" was my reply.
Truth be told I wouldn't even step out of my front door if the queen walked past....I'm just not interested.

That's very rude, at the very least you should have offered him a milkshake.

I took a photo of one, someone we watched on tv daily at the time, when he saw he came over and was really nice and asked if we wanted a selfie Grin

Best photo ever, made my absolute week (we were on holiday)

Ew no. Asking for a photo is like saying they’re better than you. I don’t beg or fawn.

I bumped into sir Ian mckellan
I was with a friend once and we bumped into him. Friend is retired but used to work in theatre. Apparently they had a “friends with benefits” relationship back in the 70s. They had a nice chat and my friend said “this is Peach” and he said hello. Afterwards my friend told me at length about how fantastic he was in bed. Supposedly his willy is like a baby’s arm clutching a tennis ball.

I passed Sarah Beeny on the stairs in a furniture shop in Leeds quite a few years back. She smiled and said hi and I smiled and said hi and that’s as far as I would go. Why do you need a bloody picture? Our lives are now just pictures on Facebook!

Decormad38 · 09/06/2019 05:54

@Peachsummer my db saw him in King Lear at Stratford. He was naked for part of the role and db said it was enormous!

Ive also nursed a few celebrities in my time but I would be in breech of my NMC code to say another word about that. Smile
