DH and I are thinking about the way we save money and instead of having one pot of saving, we're considering breaking it up into different pots I.e 'holiday fund', ' house fund' etc. Do other people do this? If so, what sort of funds do you have on the go? Thanks

I've just got one savings account for nothing in particular but yours sounds like a good idea actually

I have rainy day savings for emergencies, holiday savings, Christmas savings, car savings.
I don’t touch the rainy day one but the other ones I add into based on how much i’ll need so I know I’ll need new tyres in a few months so I put a bit in there and I know what I need for DCs Christmas presents so work out how much needs to go in each. I have quite a few bank accounts to keep it separate
