Preg test freak out

Not an AIBU so much, I'm sorry. I took this test. The box said there should be nothing in the test box for not pregnant. Is this still not pregnant with the line in the wrong direction?!!!

Hi Darling,

Don't freak out, looks like an evap line, from what I understand the blue dye POAS are terrible for it. Are you late then? How many days?

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 04/06/2019 07:00

What do the instructions say? Sometimes there’s a control line that comes up, so if you’re pregnant you can get a cross.

If you’re trying for a baby you can get just the strips (without the plastic outside) cheap from amazon/eBay. It saves on a load of waste plastic.

MockingJay27 · 04/06/2019 07:00

The lines isn't blue, so I'm unsure. How long after was this.? The pink die tests ares apparently more reliable. Go and get yourself a first response test to be sure.

AloneLonelyLoner · 04/06/2019 07:02

I'm definitely not trying for a baby. This was a few minutes after. Not more than 10.

That's so weird, I'm one days late and got the exact same result as that with an earlier test today. Except the box shows it must be a vertical line in the bubble and I got that horizontal faded one. I'm thinking evap line.

Hope it works out for you.

PrimeraVez · 04/06/2019 07:08

I can see a faint line but it looks like an evaporation line to me. I’ve had Clear Blue tests that look like that and I’ve not been pregnant.

If your period is late, I would take a Clear Blue Digital - it will give you a clear answer.

If you aren’t yet late, I would take a First Response Early Response test - in my experience they are the most accurate.

Hope you get the result you want.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 04/06/2019 07:11

It’s negative. Those tests need to have a cross on second window to be positive. The line you can see through the light is the urine moving across the dye tray.

AloneLonelyLoner · 04/06/2019 07:14

@Whatelsecouldibecalled yay!!!!!

Thank God! Hallelujah.

I don't think it means anything, I've noticed that line on these tests too. When mine were positive they had a very definite vertical line as well

AloneLonelyLoner · 04/06/2019 07:21

Yes. My freak out was because the box said there had to be no line at all in the test box. Maybe it's an evap line.

I once got a false positive on a blue test. Will never use one again.
