Aibu to think this toothpaste is awful? it was on offer so thought I'd try some. It's claim is brighter teeth in a week. The paste itself is blue and all it does is stain my teeth a blue colour, they look worse than before i started using it. Am I doing something wrong? I'm glad I didn't pay full price Confused

I find coconut oil and or oil pulling makes my teeth whitest.

ILoveEurovision · 04/06/2019 11:01

I love it but I use the original one which is white. Not sure about a blue one Confused

Bagofworries · 04/06/2019 11:49

I dont really understand why a toothpaste is staining your teeth blue. I know the toothpaste you're referring to. It's one of the best whitening tooth pastes on the market according to my dentist.
It's never ever stained my teeth blue. That's just the colour of the toothpaste.
Have you had this with other toothpastes?
Black? Stripey? Pink? Do they all stain your teeth?

Carol1900 · 04/06/2019 12:04

no, i stick with colgate!!

CostanzaG · 04/06/2019 12:08

It's brilliant! Both the original and blue one have had great results for me.

MyGuideJools · 04/06/2019 12:09

bagofworries I've never had a toothpaste stain my teeth before! It's very blue, the froth is blue, my teeth look awful afterwards.

Which one are you using?

CostanzaG · 04/06/2019 12:29

It would look a little blue immediately afterwards but was fine once I rinsed...I tend to use the blue one for special occasions and the original one more regularly.

I just dip the toothbrush in the coconut oil

EnglishRose13 · 04/06/2019 20:25

@Eliza9919

How often do you brush with coconut oil?

Eliza9919 · 04/06/2019 22:34

Everyday when I've got some and remember to use that instead of normal toothpaste. I haven't got a tub in the bathroom atm. It's a bit gacky at first but then my mouth seems to adjust and its better. My gums feel much better too.

You can make your own toothpaste with coconut oil, food grade minty essential oil and bicarb, which is what I'll do when I get a tub.

EnglishRose13 · 05/06/2019 18:37

That's @Eliza9919
I'm going to try it. You're happy with the results?

Eliza9919 · 05/06/2019 18:47

Yes, I really must get another tub!

dementedpixie · 05/06/2019 18:51

You're not supposed to rinse after brushing as it washes the fluoride away. I wouldn't rely in coconut oil to keep your teeth healthy as there is no fluoride in it
