To think all hotels in Soho area are soulless? Prove me wrong!

Searching for a quirky (poss themed, even) hotel or B&B in the Soho / Shaftesbury Ave area.

Nothing. Nada.

They're all modern, posh, minimal or just run down. Where are the kitsch, unusual places? Are we the only weirdos who like these or have any of you come across any on your travels that website trawling just isn't showing me??

Hazlitt’s?

roses2 · 03/06/2019 21:00

If you're prepared to stay outside of Soho, I think the Pavilion Hotel fits the rest of your requirements:

It's near Paddington.

Karma Sanctum, its fab. Don’t bother with the breakfast though.

GoldenRule · 04/06/2019 18:06

If you want characterful but further away Batty Langleys in Liverpool street is fab...

vampirethriller · 04/06/2019 18:10

Hazlitt's on Frith Street is beautiful.

Hazlitt's. Frith st. Old fashioned, quirky & Beautiful. Staff are lovely. My favourite 'treat ourselves ' place.

bagpiss · 04/06/2019 18:45

Hmmm , i would definitely NOT recommend the Pavillion hotel. If its in Sussex gardens

Squirrelonwheels · 04/06/2019 18:46

We enjoyed the Bloomsbury recently - recommended!

Michaelbaubles · 04/06/2019 18:47

Zetter Townhouse in clerkenwell is very quirky and has amazing service and cocktails. And the best pastries at breakfast ever.

DramaRamaLlama · 04/06/2019 18:47

The Covent Garden hotel is the best but pricey. If you don't mind a bit of a walk the Bloomsbury, the Hoxton (although all the rooms are teeny) or montague on the gardens are all nice and quirky in their own (very different) ways

septemberismyfavouritemonth · 04/06/2019 19:06

the hospital club in Covent Garden has bedrooms

Sparklesocks · 04/06/2019 19:09

I like My Bloomsbury on bayley street

Everley · 04/06/2019 20:06

Hazlitt’s and Batty Langley’s are owned by the same people. BL’s is the most amazing hotel so can imagine Hazlitt’s is just as good.

ChangeMyWorld · 05/06/2019 07:01

Hazlitts does look nice (although not themed!) But coming in quite pricey for our particular dates. Oddly much cheaper on other dates!
