Was selling a designer handbag on eBay certain bidder won then messaged me private to see if she could buy it for slightly less price I agreed even though it's less that half what I paid not heard a thing since so pissed off at more time wasted I know I probably am bu but still Just a message to let me know 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

YANBU but this happens a lot on eBay, unfortunately.

People are massive time wasters.

But why agree to reduce the price. They bidder up to (and assuming over) the winning bid. They are obligated to pay the price THEY bidded for. Also very unfair to the next highest bidder (which could have been more that what you've reduced to for the "winner").

I'd cancel their bid and offer 2nd chance to next highest bidder. Or relist, teach them for timewasting.

Why on earth did you agree to let them have it for less?

Well if they do come back to you now you know what to do! Tell them to get to fuck and relist the bag. Make sure you block this cheeky bastard too.

Yes so many time wasters. I’m so fed up with eBay, I used to sell loads but now I hardly advertise on there at all now due to people winning items and then not hearing from them again and as far as I’m aware there’s nothing you can do about it

It was£5 less not a huge amount so lay off on that 🙄anyway thought I would be nice and for the sake of a fiver agree to it lesson learned .

You are just as much to blame for this - you’ve accepted and taught the buyer that cheeky tactics work. They’ll probably go ahead and do it to someone else now.
You lost all sympathy I had when you said you’d accepted

Check out ebay uk seller central (a forum - not ebay seller centre). You can have a rant there or get/give advice. They always recommend adding a rubbish buyer to your 'blocked buyers list', whatever that is.
