Hi all,

I’m preparing an application for a role in the Civil Service at HEO (higher executive officer) level, which is a grade above my current level (EO - executive officer).

I was just wondering if anyone may be able to read over my answers to the behaviour questions for the application, please?

Thanks so much! :)

Would anyone mind reading over it, please?

I can't read over as I'm away, but have you used STAR and the competencies to answer? I always found them useful even with the new format.

I’m not civil service but we use similar assessment process and I think HEO salary is equivalent to our grade C staff.

I’m happy to look as I appoint regularly but depends how ‘brutal’ you want the review to be and whether it’s already submitted. If you want reassurance rather than critique, I might not be best person.

You might also ask your line manager to review it as internal support and patronage far outweighs a random stranger commenting. Most bosses want their team to grow and be promoted and are flattered to be asked for help.

PM if you want me to look.
