Has anyone seen the Instagram account which 'relives' the Holocaust 'through social media?'

AIBU to dislike it, although I can't quite word why.

I can see the argument about making it 'real' for teenagers, but I find it all a bit... reality-tv-esque?

No I haven’t and I wouldn’t want to.

Is it aimed at young people? This subject needs sensitive and authoritative handling.

Do you know who’s running the account?

Yes, it's definitely aimed at young people. I don't know who's running it, it's called Eva's Story.

I’ve just finished reading the Tattooist of Auschwitz and listening to The Diary Of Anne Frank, which has been serialised in Radio 4 all week. It’s very much affected my mood, it’s all so horrific. I wouldn’t want a teenager to be having this info popping up in their timeline, every single day.

I do think it's important for teenagers to learn about the Holocaust, but that it should be respectful and educational.

I did read the Tattoist of Auschwitz but I found it peculiar, almost Holocaust-lite with the romance element.
