McDonalds

So I ordered a McDonalds for lunch (naughty I know) via uber eats. Wouldn’t normally but have nothing in and needed something quick and easy and couldn’t go to the shop, as waiting for a recorded delivery of some paperwork.
Anyway McDonalds is about a 10 minute walk down the road - on uber eats it says usually takes 20-30 minutes, I am now at 80 minutes and according to the app, my food isn’t expected for a further 10 minutes.

My paperwork has arrived now - yet I’m still chuffing waiting for some chicken nuggets and chips!! AIBU to not be a happy bunny?

Complain, they usually refund the order.

That said, it may only be down the road but they also have other orders to fullfill

80 minutes? I would have cancelled by now

my2bundles · 31/05/2019 14:08

They pick up a lot of orders in one go then deliver so you wait untill multiple orders have gone through then wait again while they deliver other orders before you it's whyour I will never use them.

I would have cancelled by now also given it's just down the road and is so quick and easy to do for them. They must have been really busy!

Pinkvoid · 31/05/2019 14:22

I would’ve cancelled as soon as your paperwork arrived and walked there.

Calltheguards · 31/05/2019 14:25

I wouldn't be too surprised about the timing, I remember being behind a Deliveroo guy in the queue at Five Guys and just making his orders seemed to take at least 20-30 minutes.

So I got an apology when I queried it on the app and a refund so all in all not an awful service but won’t be using them again, particularly not when I have hungry a hungry child!
