AIBU...to even contemplate this being positive

So I think I may be letting what I desperately want cloud what this is actually showing. Can any of you see a faint line on the left of the test here? I keep thinking I can see a faint shadow on the test...

Apologies for yucky pictures Blush - I wouldn’t usually share but desperately need thoughts.

Thank you Flowers

I can only see one line on each... I don't have much experience with these so don't know what that means

littlecabbage · 31/05/2019 07:47

I can see one strong line in each window.

RyanStartedTheFire · 31/05/2019 07:48

Blue dye tests are crap. Is that the sainsburys brand? They always left an indent line for me. Buy a pink dye test instead for a clearer result.

Gettinghopesup · 31/05/2019 07:48

Thanks for looking I think you might be right and I’m just being silly.

It’s the first picture when you look up close and zoom in that I keep trying to convince myself has a faint shadow...

I see 1 horizontal line on the left and 1 vertical line on the right.

Sassypants82 · 31/05/2019 07:49

Get yourself a first response, apparently the pink due test is easier to see. Are you late?

Boom45 · 31/05/2019 07:49

One line in each window. Does that mean positive? They're pretty strong lines if that's what we're looking for.

Houseonahill · 31/05/2019 07:49

I can only see one line each sorry

Gettinghopesup · 31/05/2019 07:49

It is Sainsbury’s- I think it is an indent line now you’ve mentioned it- feeling very silly Blush

You're not being silly, I know what it's like being desperate for a positive.

I can see what you mean however I think it's negative, is your period late yet?

TurboTeddy · 31/05/2019 07:53

Hi OP, you say you think you can see a faint shadow but the images I'm seeing show a clear line in both windows so not sure the advice you'll get here will be helpful. Perhaps try a pink dye test (I didn't know one was better than the other) as PP suggested and wait a few days. I hope you get the result you want.

Bluestitch · 31/05/2019 07:53

I can see a faint second line on the first picture but nothing on the second.

Gettinghopesup · 31/05/2019 07:55

Periods are very disordered and infrequent so hard to judge whether missed one.

I had all the usual symptoms (bloated, nauseous, sore boobs) so thought I should check.

Thanks for all your help ladies- think you are all right and it’s negative- just got to keep plodding I guess...

Gettinghopesup · 31/05/2019 07:56

Ps it’s a vertical line that would mean positive for those asking

Rachie1973 · 31/05/2019 07:58

I’d buy a pink dye test to help you know for sure. Good luck xx

53rdWay · 31/05/2019 08:01

For those saying it looks like 2 string lines: with that kind of test you always get a horizontal line in the left-hand window, you need a vertical line there as well to make it positive (so it makes a + not a - symbol).

I see what you mean OP but it’s so faint and those tests are buggers for showing indents. Definitely try a pink dye test.

WhiteDust · 31/05/2019 08:20

Is it one of these?

Cookit · 31/05/2019 08:22

You need a pink dye test like a FRER.

I can see something v faint but you’d need a FRER to know.

maryberryslayers · 31/05/2019 08:31

I can see a very feint vertical line in the first pic. Defo run out and buy a FRER though.

Damntheman · 31/05/2019 08:43

I feel you with the disordered periods OP. I was 8 weeks pregnant with my first before I even noticed I was late for my period.

Those test don't look positive to me, I'm sorry :( But I do advise you to get on amazon and buy a bulk pack of the cheap ovulation tests. Take one every morning and tape them on a piece of paper in order. That way you'll know when you actually ovulated and have a better idea of when your period was meant to be. That's what helped me on my second go at it :)

RyanStartedTheFire · 31/05/2019 10:12

Don't feel silly! I only asked because I've been fooled by the indent twice. I still don't think it's conclusively a no, get yourself a pink dye test like First Response.
