Mystery tooth ache

Toothache since weekend, saw dentist yesterday, nothing obvious, no problems shown on X-rays. Suggested could be nerve pain ( which will get worse) or synusitis ( don’t think it is). Am taking odd doses of cocodamol which helps. Anyone any ideas-just a dull ache, can’t even say which tooth, just the general area.

I think you should be checked for an ear infection right away.

I had this recently and we reckon it was down to me grinding my teeth in the night. I went to the emergency dentist, they gave me antibiotics as there was a dubious bit on the X-ray that might have been an infection but I was at my own dentist this week for a check up and turns out it’s been there for years. I just took ibuprofen til it calmed down.

I had this and it turned out to be from clenching my jaw and/or grinding my teeth at night. I got a mouth guard to wear at night which helps.

I had this sort of generalised ache in my top left jaw - turns out it was clenching my teeth at night that led to this. Died down soonish but comes back when I'm stressed.
