To actually consider I could be pregnant 8 weeks after having baby?

Baby born April 2nd. 22nd May got what seemed to be first period, but it didn't last as long as normal (I read it's normal for them to change pp though).

About a week (give or take) beforehand, dtd twice and he pulled out, and once dtd no pulling out. The day after the suspected period had finished (26th May) also dtd no pulling out (sorry for details).

Tuesday night I felt sick when I woke up, like I was going to be sick (I sleep evenings so night is my morning). This morning (now) I feel nausea again.

I am probably just overly paranoid because with my first pregnancy nausea was the first symptom and it started pretty much immediately after conception. Also I noticed a 'difference' in the smell of dh's tobacco (which was just increased sense of smell) and lately I can smell his tobacco when it's in the pouch a couple of feet away.

If it wasn't for the suspected period I would feel a lot more sure I was pregnant. I feel too sick to proof read this I hope it makes sense!

Looks like a positive OP congratulations

I’ve always peed into s plastic jug then dipped the stick, easier to aim for jug or pot than midstream IME.

Just remember next time after no2, condoms!!!!

@boobirdblue yes my question still stands, I don't know why they asked on here. When I suspect I'm pregnant I do a test.

As well as taking responsibility for using more effective birth control, perhaps your partner could also consider giving up the tobacco - not good for anyone in the household, especially baby/ babies.

Why are you being so unpleasant to a new mum about her partner? Perhaps you could consider what “support” means and if this sort of support board is an appropriate place to post your miserable opinions?

Hi, I know that you know, but my lovely cousin has two, 12 months apart. It was a hard slog for a bit, but now they're best buds, at 3 and 4.

No IsaMatilda, you are not the only one amazed they actually managed to dtd so many times with a small baby! I am gobsmacked! What about the damage / stitches caused by the first one, the exhaustion, constant breastfeeding, existential despair and uncontrollable weeping? Does that not happen to everyone?

So congratulations OP on both your pregnancy and your stamina!

Sorry, my mistake for being concerned for the health of a newborn - and now pregnant mother again, surrounded by a selfish DH who can’t quit a life threatening, not to mention expensive addiction for the sake of his family!

1st congratulations OP, do another test and keep us informed.

  1. To answer some comments: I DTD with my DH 5 weeks after all three of mine... what can I say? He's a sexy bitch.

  2. The house is not smoke filled: OP already explained DH smokes outside and washes his hands and changes his clothes so bore off with your bitchy judgement.
