Our neighbours are having a massive two storey extension. That's fine but their builders are so inconsiderate. This is how they were packed just now. C is cars, h is houses and v is their vans.

being generous, are they trying (if failing) to all block each other in, rather than you?

minisoksmakehardwork · 29/05/2019 13:18

Tbh that looks like a turning circle so no one should be parked there. At least the vans are only blocking themselves/the property they're at in.

PuppyMonkey · 29/05/2019 13:19

Blimey, that’s a lot of vans, what are they doing - trying to rebuild Winterfell?Shock

Are they blocking your access anywhere or merely getting on your tits?

parkingfury · 29/05/2019 13:21

they have knocked one semi into two and are building an extension on the end. Vans are plumbers, electricians, builders and a landscape gardener. We can't see easily to get off our drive and they are blocking in the two houses on the right.

i.e. knocked their semi through into the one next door which they bought.

Go and talk to the project supervisor and see if he can set some parking ground rules for the subs (that you agree are reasonable too) then agree that he will communicate them to the subs and enforce them. If that doesnt work, talk to your neighbour, if that doesnt work call non emergency police

flumpybear · 29/05/2019 13:28

Not ideal but would you rather they stopped completely ? Best IMO to get it done and finished

parkingfury · 29/05/2019 13:41

I don't want them to stop completely. We need to get in and out and emergency vehicles need access. they don't need plumbers, builders, electricians and gardeners there on the same day. Gardeners could come a different day.

I can't imagine emergency vehicles needing city start access but if they did there's space to stop and access a local home ... they often have to navigate blocks of flats - I feel they'd perhaps find this a breeze

Speak to the site manager - is there nowhere on site they can park?!

MoreSlidingDoors · 29/05/2019 14:20

As it’s drawn you can see everything you need to be able to see.....

parkingfury · 29/05/2019 14:38

How would I see children crossing the road?

OP posts:
MoreSlidingDoors · 29/05/2019 14:47

Assuming they’re crossing at the green section and you’re travelling along the blue arrow, how would you not see? You’re passing 3 houses - that’s a decent distance!
