And why not?! Your time is precious.

ElfridaEtAl · 28/05/2019 22:16

Both me & OH work part time and we shop online. We do got to an actual shop (Iceland) for other bits but we do the "Big Shop" online. No need to feel lazy. Also I've found doing it online there's a bigger range than in a lot of the shops IYSWIM?

MammyHester9116 · 28/05/2019 22:17

I get my food shopping delivered every week! I must be super lazy! Blush
Go for it! Buy a delivery saver pass to save even more money on your deliveries! Smile

Dragonboysmum · 28/05/2019 22:17

I find I don't impulse buy if I do an online shop.

MammyHester9116 · 28/05/2019 22:18

Ps I also work full time and have 2 children under 4!

OldAndWornOut · 28/05/2019 22:18

Definitely not lazy.
You're working smart, to coin a phrase. Smile

Yup, we went on to a delivery scheme about 2 years ago. I’m part time but work long shifts so it’s never convenient to go after work. Now I usually meal plan and do the shopping with DH in the evening and get it delivered on my day off after the school run. It’s easier, it’s probably as cheap as driving there, plus I spend less because I’m not tempted by the extras on offer. Also it’s better for the environment. Only downside is they pack some stuff in bags where I wouldn’t (like loose bananas). I’d say it’s more expensive than Lidl/Aldi but I always buy crap from the square of heaven so it probably works out the same! Grin

Pipandmum · 28/05/2019 22:24

Who wants to drive to the shop, spend an hour loading up a trolley, try to avoid all the other shoppers, wait in line to check out, load your car, drive, unload your car....
Or, sit on your sofa, do a bit of finger tapping, have it delivered to your door the next day (sometimes the same day). Hmmm...tough choice.

Oysterbabe · 28/05/2019 22:26

I've ordered my shopping online for almost 20 years. I've never once felt lazy doing it.

aibutohavethisusername · 28/05/2019 22:28

I work in a Supermarket and still do home delivery Blush

startingtoday · 28/05/2019 22:29

Thank you everyone. Feeling much better about it! You're right about the driving , time, packing, unpacking, exhausting! Time I could spend having a wee wine! WineSmile

Honestly if we'd always done it like this & then someone suggested you should GO to the shops & do it yourself there'd be outrage.

Online grocery delivery is the only way.

EducatingArti · 28/05/2019 22:32

You are being eco-friendly. The fuel used for one lorry delivering loads of stuff to people in an rare is probably less than everyone driving themselves to the supermarket and back.

ChipsAreLife · 28/05/2019 22:33

No you're not lazy!!! I hate food shopping and always have! Online food shopping is amazing! I now generally only have to pop out for milk or bread. Bliss!

ChocChocButtons · 28/05/2019 22:34

I do those recipe boxes they are a god send!!

nakedscientist · 28/05/2019 23:38

Op, it's the only way. Think no more about it!

OpalTree · 28/05/2019 23:46

1 vehicle delivering to twenty people is better than 20 vehicles going to the shop and back.

LaurieFairyCake · 28/05/2019 23:53

I've ordered for more than a decade, I never go to supermarkets.

It's not lazy, it's efficient

ANewDawn10 · 29/05/2019 00:12

I'm a sahm and I do my shopping online Grinnever crossed my mind to feel lazy about it.

TantricTwist · 29/05/2019 00:18

How is this being lazy.

This is has been normal for years.
Wierd post.

happyhillock · 29/05/2019 00:21

I order my shopping every week online, been doing it for year's..

SusieOwl4 · 29/05/2019 00:47

I always shop.on line. Hate supermarkets. Why do I need to look at about 50 shampoos or washing powders when I know what I want . You still get offers .

tinyradish · 29/05/2019 00:52

I get a delivery every week - surely this is what most people do nowadays?!

HermioneMakepeace · 29/05/2019 00:55

It saves money - less impulse buys.

janetforpresident · 29/05/2019 00:57

It's better for the environment. Are you single if you have a partner do they also feel lazy for not shopping or is the burden all on you?
