I live next door to a holiday cottage the people staying there atm have two teenage lads with them who are kicking a leather football back and forth between them but it keeps hitting my house right by the windows (the big drive of the house goes up the side of my house) WIBU to ask them to stop? I hate confrontation and don't want to make a fuss if IABU

No of course not. Any reasonable person wouldn’t mind being asked and would direct their kids to play somewhere else Smile

"hi, I know you're having fun but that ball is really noisy inside my house. Would you mind not kicking it against my wall?"

Of course it's ok to ask them to stop. Can you suggest somewhere for them to go? If they're visiting they might not know where parks etc are.

Yes ok to ask. Better to tell them where the park is. (And even better is you keep a sponge ball and a light football and offer these instead.....but that won't help now)
