So my brother is very dependent on alcohol. He's also struggling mentally and is under some sort of mental health nurse. Apparently she advised him to go into A&E and say he's an alcoholic and needs to be detoxed over the bank holiday weekend if he felt suicidal. She is going to see him on Tuesday. Is that something hospitals do anymore? I'm vaguely aware that they don't detox in hospitals anymore?
He's not very well this evening and I don't want to send him in and then get sent home again as I'm afraid of how that will leave him feeling.
