I'm thinking of buying this outfit for my grandma's 90th birthday party next month, and wearing it again for the work summer party (I'm a teacher in a primary school). AIBU?

Top and skirt

I think it's far too floaty. Definitely needs altered. (Taken in and up) Far too much material and I can't even think of what accessories you'd need to draw a bit more attention to yourself.

@Jammiebammie - yes, perfect!

OP Get two. I imagine they may even do a buy one get one free option. Then you and Gran can do a 'cheeky girls' tribute act. Just think in those clothes, the guests can actually 'touch your bum' as you sing it.

Love it!!! It's it sequins? I can't quite tell, if it is your family and class are going to really enjoy changing the directions of them so the tones change!!

UnaCorda · 26/05/2019 18:37

Better in lime?

There are no words... I’m speechless 😁

Time40 · 26/05/2019 18:38

It's got that classic, understated look that's ideal for a 90th birthday party - and what's even better, you could also wear it if you ever have to go to a funeral.

What about this paired with that plastic skirt? Maybe in pick?

checkingforballoons · 26/05/2019 18:39

I prefer to clear version. You’d get more wear out of it too I think.

wheresthewine36 · 26/05/2019 18:40

Bit matronly, OP. How about this instead?

There's 20% off the pink version. Bargain

Houseonahill · 26/05/2019 18:43

Clear goes with everything, definitely get the clear one.

wobblebot · 26/05/2019 18:47

The second outfit option is now on PLT's most wanted list. Might need to grab it quick before they sell out. I have a discount code if anyone wants it?..

SmellbowSmellbow123 · 26/05/2019 18:51

It’s a YES from me!

gottastopeatingchocolate · 26/05/2019 18:57

That could be really embarrassing - check that grandma isn't planning on wearing the same outfit first!

starzig · 26/05/2019 19:01

Think it's more for holidays.

Notthetoothfairy · 26/05/2019 19:04

@JammieBammie that’s really gorgeous and flattering but there is some VPL. It’s probably better worn without knickers?

iklboo · 26/05/2019 19:05

Hmm. I think I'd worry about being too hot, especially if there's a disco at the party.

UCOinanOCG · 26/05/2019 19:31

These are all gorgeous and very tasteful. Just right for grandmas birthday.

NauseousMum · 26/05/2019 19:57

Depends on the shoes. The shoes make or break an outfit.

Nicecupofcoco · 26/05/2019 20:06

You'd look absolutely adorable op!
Let your grandma go for the sequined number though... It is her 90th after all!
The lime will be fabulous for you!

ifyouneedmenow · 26/05/2019 20:07

If only this was true Grin
I'd love to be at that party .
If you have a figure for that outfit and the confidence then why not .
Your gran maybe passed off you've took the attention off her though. Grin

ifyouneedmenow · 26/05/2019 20:08
  • pissed off not passed off
SnugglySnerd · 26/05/2019 20:09

Make sure you don't go out in the sun over half term. Strap lines would make it look tacky.

User24689 · 26/05/2019 20:11

This thread has really cheered me up after a long day!
