Alcohol and medicines

I’ve taken piriteze today and have just read that you should avoid alcohol. How true is this? I’m going out tonight and planning a couple of glasses of wine.

You'll be fine. I take antihistamines every day and drink. It can just increase the sleepy aspect. Don't operate heavy machinery, don't drive, don't perform surgery.

I was actually on 8 antihistamines a day at one point and still didn't feel any different

That’s great. I’ve been looking forward to going out and thought I had made a horrible error!
