To ask, if you voted for the Brexit party yesterday, would you vote for them in a general election?

Just that really.

Not sure many people will want to openly admit to voting for this party OP, general election or not. It’s a bit like asking ‘will you support Nick Griffin?’

I despise Brexshit Party. Let's start with that. But I recognise that people feel they have to push through with the thing they voted for. They are not convinced it is as difficult as people say. They don't accept GFA matters. And nothing you can say will convince them otherwise.
Taking a step back and seeing if we could try and fix our national problems without flushing ourselves down the loo with a No Deal Brexit isn't a winning idea. Yet.

I am ardently anti-Brexit and anti-Farage; but it's not quite like supporting Griffin. That would be voting for Tommy Robinson; or to some extent UKIP under Batten.

Farage presents better and is cleverer than Griffin. One is manifestly more charismatic than the other, (for those of us who like our demagogues wealthy, suave and public school), but apart from that, there’s no obvious difference between them.

Plenty of people have said they voted Brexit party on other threads. What I want to know is if it only relates to the EU Elections or if these voters would actually want to see Farage as PM and the Brexit Party running the country, just so I can start planning my escape now Wink

Probably not, as I live in a safe Labour seat, unless there was a real predicted shift in voting intentions beforehand, i'd still vote Conservatives as they come up 2nd place most times. I voted for Brexit party yesterday btw ;)

StitchingMoss · 24/05/2019 09:05

Biker47, what made you choose the BP? Was it simply their position on Leave/Remain? Does their corruption not bother you at all?

OnlyMakeBelieve · 24/05/2019 09:12

I know people who voted Brexit without any idea what Farage stands for. If you vote for Brexit you're voting for the end of the NHS.
