Who maybe are familiar with this?

My 10 year old has two of these teeth growing exactly like this on top of the baby teeth..

Does he need to see a dentist or will they move down when the baby teeth drop?
Google is talking about removing the baby teeth?

Any dentists about?

I would see the dentist as the adult tooth normally pushes out the baby tooth by dissolving the root.

I'm not a dentist but I inherited this scenario from my dad, as did my siblings and my 4 children then from me.

We all had to have the baby tooth removed and then wear a brace to bring the misplaced adult tooth down into the gap.

Hmm, DS will not be happy.
Oh well, needs must I suppose. I’ll call the dentist tomorrow and try and get an appointment

I had this, for years until I was 15 and begged the dentist to take the baby teeth out because they weren't budging, then it was two years in train tracks and a permanent retainer fitted to the back of my teeth.

I had this as well. My baby teeth just wouldn't fall out and the adult ones were coming through. I had 7 baby teeth removed in the end, think I was about 12. Then three different sets of braces (not train tracks) to move everything back a bit to make enough room and straighten it all out. This was a long time ago so the brace side of things is probably a bit more sophisticated now.
