We went after lunch, there was only us there voting, hope it was only due to the time of day. Spookily quiet made me and the lady at the table giggle. Dh forgot his reading glasses, so good thing the writing was nice and large. He wanted to draw a smily face instead of an x.

Laura221 · 23/05/2019 16:26

Voted this morning. Only one in there.

HariboLectar · 23/05/2019 16:28

Sorry if the link has already been posted, but if you haven't voted yet and aren't sure who to vote for...

happyhillock · 23/05/2019 16:31

I don't care if the polling station's are open for the next 24hrs, i'm not voting, free country my choice.

HariboLectar · 23/05/2019 16:33

Sorry I posted the wrong link Blush will try and find the correct one.

Chanteuse · 23/05/2019 16:52

People are disillusioned with politics; can't blame them for not voting. I didn't vote in the local elections for the first time ever, but I did vote in today's.

Tavannach · 23/05/2019 16:54

I'm off to the polling station just as soon as I've finished my milkshake.

lalahotpants · 23/05/2019 17:00

No way am I voting in this election! We shouldn't be in the EU at this point, my card went straight in the bin.

VeryQuaintIrene · 23/05/2019 17:04

Emmeline Pankhurst is turning in her grave at some of you!

rainbowruthie · 23/05/2019 17:06

I voted bright and early before work this morning

ginghambox · 23/05/2019 17:09

Just been, fairly busy put my X in the Brexit Party box.

ethelfleda · 23/05/2019 17:10

I’ve voted. Was there just after 8am - nobody else there.
However, I disagree with the fact that everyone should vote. It’s a personal choice and I’d rather people who aren’t engaged with politics or current events not bother to be honest. Better than people shoving an X in a box based on a gut feeling (actual comment from someone in my family who voted in the EU referendum)

Pinkvoid · 23/05/2019 17:13

Emmeline Pankhurst is turning in her grave at some of you!

This but I suspect those who don’t vote don’t know who she is otherwise they wouldn’t disrespect her so much...

I voted on the way to pick my DC up from school. Lib Dem, I want a second a referendum.

Jinglejanglefish · 23/05/2019 17:20

I voted. It was school pick up time at the primary next door so it was pretty busy.

greenelephantscarf · 23/05/2019 17:34

I agree it's a personal choice if you vote or not

but it's an important one and should be made consciously

I have a really busy day today so I got up early and voted at 7am. Had to wait 10secs for polling sttation to open.

CarolDanvers · 23/05/2019 19:35

I voted and took my dog with me, he was allowed in Smile

I voted Change UK. Maybe a wasted vote but I couldn't countenance voting for either of the other remain parties given their stance on prioritising trans people over women and girls.

sluj · 23/05/2019 19:44

Just got back from voting it's the first time I've ever seen anything like a queue in there, even though there were only about 15 of us. Never seen that before though

Gth1234 · 23/05/2019 19:46

I am happy to say I voted for the fragrant Annunciata, here in the midlands.

Thisismadness · 23/05/2019 19:53

I love voting! I had to get a postal vote for a previous election and I’ve stuck with it but I miss going to the polling booth.

I like hearing that brexit fans aren’t voting as a protest!

awaynboilyurheid · 23/05/2019 19:54

Voted here in Glasgow, polling station quiet. I voted for Lib Dem’s as a protest vote,
cannot believe I have been reduced to this because J Corbyn is sitting so far on the fence he’s got splinters up his backside!

slipperywhensparticus · 23/05/2019 20:01

I'm home with a vomiting child I think they may have to do without my vote this once its probably the first time I've missed in 19 years though

ForalltheSaints · 23/05/2019 20:05

YANBU to remind everyone. I voted at 705am, and would have been earlier but for the queue.

First election since the cat who was banned from the library (the polling station) died.

You have a lot on social media about dogs at polling stations (lovely photos some of them), so here is one of the now deceased cat crossing the road outside the library.

to remind you to go voting today
greenelephantscarf · 23/05/2019 20:05
