Posting here for traffic as worried and don't want my post to be missed...

I'm 38 weeks pregnant I had midwife today and baby is measuring at 36 weeks. I've been booked for a growth scan tomorrow, what should I expect? Is it the same as any other scan? Also I haven't found out the sex of the baby as I want a surprise !! What will I see? I really don't want to be able to see the sex at the last hurdle!! Has anyone had a scan at 38 weeks? What did you see? I'm sure everything is ok with my bubba but I really don't want to see the sex or any giveaways my baby is back to back aswell...!

Tell the sonographer as soon as you go in you don't know sex and don't want to know, they will try their best to not reveal anything. It is same as other scans, they try to measure lengths of baby body parts and look at fluid and flows.

I’ve been having regular growth scans, they measure baby’s head, tummy, femur, the amount of amniotic fluid and check the blood flow across the cord too. I think they check the heart as well. It doesn’t take very long and if just mention that you don’t know the sex when you first go in. Hope all is well.
