being near someone on a plane with a strong smelling perfume. It's not like you can go and change seats.Hmm

Why is everyone ignoring your post? Bastards. Let's get some traffic :)

But I can only say the truth. I suffered from perfume of a person next to me at a concert (I couldn't sit somewhere else) so much that I had a stomach pain. It was Poison, the original, 80s one, and probably rather stale. I am also a perfume user and do feel peeved when people complain about perfume. Unless it's causing you pain/physical discomfort, I think their dislike of scents is not a reason to stop other people enjoying them. I must say all those who love "scent of clean hair/fresh skin/ clean clothes" and pose themselves as some "alternative"/eco warriors irritate me a bit, for I'm an old fashioned degenerate who likes opulence and extravagance of some perfume.

I'd rather that than have to sit next to someone who'd been sick/farting.
But it's really inconsiderate to make strong smells in a confined space.

Kanga83 · 21/05/2019 12:04

Yes! And trains. Then someone feels the needs to spray their perfume/deodorant all over. I always make a point of loudly commenting what cheap nasty stuff they've sprayed, could have at least sprayed something that they didn't find in Poundland that doesn't smell like rancid cats wee. I like to make them insecure Smile( I also have asthma and this really affects me as I don't use them).

The thing is that I suffer from migraines and I find the smell to be a trigger. 😔

Yes I’m with you OP. Strong perfume can make me feel sick and give me a headache.

It is horrible. When I was pregnant, it would make me feel really sick. Some people spray far too much. You don't need a lot. Someone once told me that if you cannot smell your own perfume after an hour, that means it suits you. I wonder if that's why people go crazy, because they can't smell it.
