I like it but the seeds get stuck in my teeth.

My ex husband hated it and called it squirrel shit bread Grin

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:08

I like the teeth sticking quality, means I am still enjoying it some hours later as the seeds dislodge.

Yuck! The work of the devil!

mnahmnah · 20/05/2019 12:10

Me too! With tons of real butter mmm

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:11

BusyBusyBust you sound like my three-year old, who also has this opinion. This is concerning because a) you're supposed to be out with Grandma and b) How the hell have you got on Mumsnet?

mnahmnah you can be my friend, I will share a loaf with you.

I had some seedy bread once. It just kept looking at me and saying, "nice tits".

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:16

beefthief this is a serious thread about a serious matter. Please take your smut elsewhere (I believe there is a Sex topic especially for the likes of you).

Yesssss especially covered in sesame or poppy seeds! Dam I need to go and buy some now! Grin

LucyAutumn · 20/05/2019 12:20

beefthief LOL

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:21

Noooooo, NOT poppy seeds, yuck! I mean the bagged loafs with lots of seeds within the very fabric of the bread, especially pumpkin and sunflower.

paintwater · 20/05/2019 12:22

Love it! Particularly the Jacksons seeded bloomer from Waitrose

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:22

On a related tangent I bought an artisan type bread from Tesco the other day, cranberry and cashew. OMD heaven in a slice. Unfortunately, I may have eaten 95% of it in a very short space of time.

OP posts:
AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:23

paintwater not had that one (too posh for the likes of me) but Aldi do a fab version.

ElektraUnchained · 20/05/2019 12:23

This bread is most excellent for cheese on toast. With ketchup or brown sauce beneath the cheese.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 20/05/2019 12:25

Tesco do a cheese bread too. I am eating most of one right now.

Ivy44 · 20/05/2019 12:26

M&S Champion Seeds.

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:27

I have found my people !
Elektra yes, extremely good for cheese on toast. Maybe that will be my second course.

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:28

Endo cheese bread is divine, I try not to buy as I really do go to town with that.

OP posts:
pigsDOfly · 20/05/2019 12:32

Love it loaded with butter or marmalade - not allowed either now I've lowered my cholesterol and have to keep it down - or in a sandwich or just by itself.

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:33

pigs I learnt only last week that I need to lower mine. I went and bought some of that there Benecol. I'm a diehard butter fiend so it is a big adjustment!

Katinski · 20/05/2019 12:33

Ketchup, you say, KETCHUP, Elektra?Shock

In our house that's called Blood Sauce.

I bloody hate Blood Sauce!

And those seeds work their way between my teeth.

Love Morrisons Cheese bread or a freshly baked bloomer.

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:37

Katinski agree re the ketchup. The only place for it is on one side of a fried egg sandwich (and the egg must be broken and then right through, no snotty bits or runny yolk, shudder)

I love seedy bread (especially the M&S pumpkin one) and DH hates it. His diabetic nurse recently gave him a lecture on carbs, so now he HAS to eat it!

Bravelurker · 20/05/2019 12:43

I cannot have non seeded bread now as it tastes awful to me, but I have only met one other person irl that agrees with me though.
I have to make sure I don't run out unexpectedly as I don't have any local corner shops that sell it, only supermarkets.
