Minded Yes, there were so many things I had to give up, butter being one of the difficult ones, and biscuits. Can't go back on them now or I'll undo all my good work, so that's it for life now.

I never tried Benecol, I don't tend to eat yoghurty type things and I've never used spreads on bread - apart from butter of course.

Katinski · 20/05/2019 12:46

Aud the snotty bits - pass me the brain bleach QUICK!

btw, anyone watch the cooking programmes where they put that 'foam' stuff over the food?

Looks like cuckoo spit to me.. so a dish with cuckoo spit AND blood sauce wouldnt get my vote. EVER.Grin

Sainsbury’s fresh taste the difference wholemeal seedy loaf. It’s so good.

Barbarafromblackpool · 20/05/2019 12:51

I too love a seeded batch, but a seed scratched my bum hole on its way out so now I avoid. Blush

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 12:53

Brave you too have found your people here then!
pigs I think the main thing I need to do is lose weight, but that is easier said than done! Benecol spread does not actually taste that bad.
Katinski yeah, really don't get that trend. I like food you can actually sink your teeth into (hence the bread).

Barbara if I could be arsed, I'd figure out how to put a shocked face emoticon on this reply!

Lidl's seeded farmhouse loaf is so delicious! Lasts for ages too (well, when I find my willpower!).

mnahmnah · 20/05/2019 13:19

I think my fave sliced loaf is the Co-Op’s Honey and sunflower. But the fresh seeded rolls in Morrisons are delicious

SneakyGremlins · 20/05/2019 13:20

Tiger bread is about as fancy a bread as I stretch to Grin

Meangirls36 · 20/05/2019 13:25

Aldi multi seeded brown posh bread is the best toasted with mushroom pate and butter.

Chippychipsforme · 20/05/2019 13:32

Love seedy bread. The Sainsbury's TTD is my favourite.

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 13:47

Right, so we're all in agreement. Carbs are great!

I am not a bread fan, but seedy bread is the only kind I will happily eat!!

fishonabicycle · 20/05/2019 14:16

Seeded bread is marvellous! With about an inch thick butter on it. As is sourdough.

Kokapetl · 20/05/2019 14:18

I make my own seeded bread with chia seeds in. They are good for in some way or other.

Magmatic80 · 20/05/2019 14:19

Seedy bread is excellent yes, however box fresh salt and pepper crusted bread with salted butter is truly a divine creation

SevenTimesSix · 20/05/2019 14:31

YANBU

Seeded bread is the best!

PickAChew · 20/05/2019 14:43

That sainsburys one is like crack. One of our delivery drivers said that the smell makes them hungry all day, if they've got it in their van.

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 14:44

Whoah, Magmatic80 where could one procur this divine sounding concoction (not heard of it).
Is it a London thing?

Kokapetl I never understand that as surely they just pass straight through? (or is that the goodness function they help fulfill?)

Tesco finest seedy bread is the best.

Duchessgummybuns · 20/05/2019 14:55

Yes love seedy bread but I can’t buy it because my family are a bunch of wieners and don’t like it 🙄

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 15:09

Duchessgummybuns buy it anyway and eat the damn lot.

Seeded sliced bread is our basic bread and all my children have ever known (the one 'healthy' thing they eat that I can feel smug about Grin).

I don't really eat that much bread but I very much love the German rye bread from Aldi, especially the one with extra sunflower seeds.

LoveTheLakes40 · 20/05/2019 17:07

Seeded bread is a staple. Feels like I’m eating something really healthy but tastes good at the same time. My fave is M&S champion seeds.

By the way, a lot of seeded breads aren’t wholemeal, they are white but look brownish due to the seeds. I only discovered this recently.
