I love seeded bread. DH makes his own. It's lovely.

MrsLinManuelMiranda · 20/05/2019 17:17

I have just finished the last of my cranberry and pumpkin seed bread. The joys of finding a handful of loose seeds at the bottom of the bag which I sprinkled over the buttered bread - lush!

AudTheDeepMinded I don’t use it for our main shop but it’s our nearest supermarket by far and only one within easy walking distance so I use it when we’re low on milk/bread etc and discovered this bread plus a particular brand of tea that I now can’t go without! It’s worth a trip to Waitrose just for this bread.

Sexnotgender · 20/05/2019 20:09

Love seeded bread. Also a massive fan of walnut bread. With cold salted butter. Yum

Sexnotgender · 20/05/2019 20:10

Really need to get my breadmaker out again. Been busy with my baby!

Newbie1981 · 20/05/2019 20:16

Oh my god! Yes! I bloody need it for my dessert now haha

Newbie1981 · 20/05/2019 20:17

I've had to stop eating as it's pretty calorific and I'm trying to lose weight. Wholemeal just isn't the same

WindsweptEgret · 20/05/2019 20:17

I love seeded bread, the more seeds the better. Anyone know which sliced bread has the most seeds?

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 20:18

SexnotGender please remember to get your priorities right from now on!
Anyone else anticipating tomorrow's breakfast already? (asking for a friend).

Newbie there's no calories in it, FACT!
Windswept I think we need to conduct a serious piece of research into that!

The bread I used to buy overseas had 20% seeds, I haven't been able to find one seedy enough here.

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 20/05/2019 20:29

Mmm. Bread

HoppityChicken · 20/05/2019 20:31

I loved seedy bread until last week when I lost a crown after eating some. Dentist said seeds exist to making dentist rich!

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 20:33

HoppityChicken you got to take some risks in life though! It's like culinary Russian roulette.

I know DeepMinded - the last time it happened I was eating Wotsits, one of the softer, safer, savoury snacks. It's a dentally dangerous world we live in.

SilentBob · 20/05/2019 21:16

Seeded bread is amazing. Hovis seven seeds and Asda's Super Seeded are good.

Beware urine tests if one eats a lot of the stuff though. Poppy seeds will be detected as opiates if one ingests enough.

Categorically not me- an 'acquaintance'who eats the bread for breakfast and lunch every single day and is partial to a lemon and poppy seed muffin. And drives an artic.

I am his dealer*

*chef at the cafe he visits twice a day

LadyRannaldini · 20/05/2019 21:20

I will share a loaf with you

I don't share good bread with anyone, bread is my downfall, along with lovely unsalted butter.

AudTheDeepMinded · 20/05/2019 21:37

LadyRannaldini UNSALTED?! you have just plummeted in my estimation.
SilentBob crikey, really?

Oh yes! Meridian smooth peanut butter! 🍞 🥜

drigon · 21/05/2019 03:49

We love Tesco Ancient Grains Sourdough bloomers, they also made heavenly toast.

spidersonmyceiling · 21/05/2019 08:07

Silent Bob yes indeed, poppy seeds are a worry to drivers, a traindriver ex boyfriend of mine would not eat anything with poppy seeds in just in case he was called for a drugs test. There wasn't much s3dy bread in those days. I love it

Magmatic80 · 21/05/2019 11:58

AudTheDeepMinded I think most big supermarkets sell salt and pepper bread? I’m out in’t sticks and both Morrison’s and Sainsbury’s do it. It’s in the bakery bit at the back, one of them does it as buns as well, they don’t even need buttering Smile. It’s not with the branded sliced bread in the aisle. Fabulous straight out the shop runs to morrisons

I can’t find the loaf of it, but in store it’s near the buns!
