I like it Blush but not for a wedding!!

lisasimpsonssaxophone · 19/05/2019 13:11

I wouldn’t care if someone wore it to ours, but we’re not having a super traditional wedding so it wouldn’t look massively out of place. I wouldn’t wear it myself though. And my mum would definitely have something to say about it (over 5 years later she still talks about the wedding where my brother’s ex had - horror of horrors - CLEAVAGE on display) Grin

ForalltheSaints · 19/05/2019 13:14

I would hope you would never be such a fashion victim as to wear it at all, definitely not to a wedding.

Lucked · 19/05/2019 13:25

I think it depends on the wedding. I raised eyebrows at what Sophie Turner wore to Rose Leslie wedding (Game of Thrones actors) as in my mind it was clubbing gear but, of course, they are artists!

IronManisnotDead · 19/05/2019 13:29

No not for a wedding Confused

weddingplannc · 19/05/2019 13:33

It's not my style but I can imagine people wearing it to a "party" evening reception. Not a small church ceremony though - it's just not a 'day' outfit, is it?

OwlBeThere · 19/05/2019 13:39

Yes if I was 18-25 and had a banging body, there’s nothing wrong with it.
But people oh mumsnet think Kate Middleton is the height of fashion so of course they won’t like it.

Moondancer73 · 19/05/2019 13:56

100% not

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 19/05/2019 13:58

To be honest, it's a little understated, isn't it?

The outfit needs a couple of swishy red nipple tassels to match the tassel earrings.

That would zhoosh it up a bit.

bettytaghetti · 19/05/2019 14:01

Perhaps she was sick over her outfit on the way to the wedding and this was the only replacement outfit she could find, as she knew she'd get flack from the bride if she didn't turn up? GrinGrin

Still18atheart · 19/05/2019 14:32

No unless I was a total bitch who had the hots and unfinished business with the groom 😈

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 19/05/2019 14:45

If the groom was about to commit bigamy and you were the wronged wife, and you wanted to stand up in church and say something when they get to the 'If any person present knows of any lawful impediment to this marriage...' bit, maybe that's your outfit?

teachermam · 19/05/2019 14:46

If it wasn't Lacey and I had the figure yes

But I prefer people who.are over dressed rather then underdressed at a wedding

Weddings are very dressy here in Ireland

classedasarsehole · 19/05/2019 15:16

Clubbing wear 😂😂😂😂

MammaMia19 · 19/05/2019 15:20

Where I live this would be fine for a wedding minus the coat. But it would only be worn by someone in their early-mid 20s.

KooMoo · 19/05/2019 15:25

No it is too attention seeking and ‘look at me’. It’s the Bride & Grooms day. It isn’t about you grabbing the limelight.

CarolinaChina · 19/05/2019 16:51

The trousers are nice but the top’s a bit much for a wedding. I agree that pairing it with a nice white top might work. Not sure about the jacket, though...... possibly a bit of red overload.
