Maternity notes when going on holiday?

I’m 26 weeks pregnant going from the UK to Ireland (where I am from) only taking a carry on suitcase for two weeks should I take my maternity notes? Have had a good pregnancy been no issues

I took mine just incase. Would rather have them they don’t take up much space x

I took mine to Portugal, and when I read pregnant I was traveling around the UK for work and my midwife said to take them with me, she was very insistent and mentioned it at several appointments, just take the book you don't need the big folder thing

I went to the Canaries last year at around 20 weeks. I took a photo of the front page where my NHS stickers are, and just a photo of my latest written notes. As long as they have your NHS number they can track stuff down should you need to be admitted.

Surely it depends what they say? If nothing out of the ordinary, I wouldn’t bother. That said - they’ll hardly take up space. As you’re undecided enough to ask here - just take them.

I don’t tend to lug them around with me in the UK but I took them with me to Greece for the last two weeks just in case.

I asked my midwife about this when I went away last year (20 weeks). She said that as long as I knew my blood type she couldn't see a scenario where having the notes would affect anything. I didn't take them as I was worried about them getting lost in luggage and would have been very bulky in hand luggage. You could always take a photo of the critical pages on your phone if you wanted to.
