Any ideas please

I've been kindly gifted 2.5k from my parents for a milestone birthday.

I would really like to invest that money to start a small buying and selling business online. I work part time and desperately bored and would love to do something from home.

Any ideas anyone? I was thinking of putting together kids travel bundles etc or party packs, but would welcome any other ideas.

Thanks in advance .

I think if you want to be self employed you need to have a passion for what you are doing. Have a think about that and what you might do with your skills, hobbies etc.

Do your research, and then do it again. I don't mean to be discouraging but most start ups lose money and fail.

Not saying don't do it, but make sure you're aware of your potential market, risks, distribution channels, suppliers, the time you'll be spending (otherwise when you draw up your pricing strategies you may effectively be paying yourself less than minimum wage) and any regulations around your business. Eg selling children's packs will mean you'll need to be sure everything is safe for children.
