to ask what do you drink with your evening meal?

Just that really. I will occasionally have wine or beer but don't want it every night, water seems a bit boring and juice too sweet to go with savoury stuff. What do you have?

Filtered tap water, or filtered fizzed tap water.
I am a big fan of water!

littlepeas · 17/05/2019 13:03

Water! Occasionally kombucha. I usually have a beer while I’m cooking on Fridays and Saturdays.

Nuttyaboutnutella · 17/05/2019 13:03

Mostly water. Very dilute squash occasionally, or a fizzy drinks but not often. I'm also pregnant so no alcohol but when I'm not, I prefer to have a glass after the toddler is in bed.

amusedbush · 17/05/2019 13:05

I have one can of sugar free fizzy drink a day, with my evening meal.

cuppycakey · 17/05/2019 13:06

Pepsi Max

Letthemysterybe · 17/05/2019 13:07

Sparkling water. I love my soda stream.

pilates · 17/05/2019 13:07

Orange squash

Ivy44 · 17/05/2019 13:08

@littlepeas
Just had to google kombucha. I’ll have to try that.

TheTitOfTheIceberg · 17/05/2019 13:11

Usually water. Sometimes cider in the summer, very occasionally wine if entertaining. Now and again Diet Coke but trying to cut down on that.

DavetheCat2001 · 17/05/2019 13:13

A bottle of wine

JaceLancs · 17/05/2019 13:13

Water with a splash of lemon or lime juice
Or diet tonic water
Sparkling water

BonAccordSpur · 17/05/2019 13:13

Best drink in the worldEarlGrey 😃

Itssosunny · 17/05/2019 13:13

Herbal tea or warm/hot water and only after the meal.

HarryTheSteppenwolf · 17/05/2019 13:16

Juice or beer/cider. Unless the meal includes chips and/or beans, in which case: tea.

NameChangeNugget · 17/05/2019 13:19

Depends on when or where.

Tea, coffee, beer or red wine.

ooooohbetty · 17/05/2019 13:19

@RiddleyW with regards to having tea with all meals I drink tea with lemon not milk so it does go very well with curries and most things. I don't drink it at dinner time which is when I would have a roast. Then I drink squash. I'm not a fan of plain water.

RiddleyW · 17/05/2019 13:23

Ooh tea with lemon I can get on board with

rabbitheadlights · 17/05/2019 13:24

Depends really ... Water mostly, wine at the weekend (when not pregnant) but if it's something fab like homemade chips with fried eggs and baked beans and white buttered bread then it's builders tea!!

maddening · 17/05/2019 13:24

Tea

flirtygirl · 17/05/2019 13:24

Water aids digestion so not sure where the people got their info from, when they say nothing to drink with a meal is better.

nighttimethoughts · 17/05/2019 13:25

Water usually, if feeling fancy sometimes sparkling water Grin

Justanothernamechange2 · 17/05/2019 13:26

I dont usually have anything, but i dont drink nearly enough. Something im working on.

DP doesnt seem to be able to physically eat without a glass of pepsimax though

BagofTeeth · 17/05/2019 13:28

Tea normally, occasionally wine or a Coke for a treat. I'll happily drink water during the day but not a fan of drinking it when I'm eating and I always need a drink when I'm eating.

MadamMMA · 17/05/2019 13:38

Water before and after aids digestion, not during.

MidnightMystery · 17/05/2019 13:38

I don't have a drink with a meal I get full up otherwise and can't finish my meal so I just wash it all down with a glass of tap water after Grin
