to ask what do you drink with your evening meal?

Just that really. I will occasionally have wine or beer but don't want it every night, water seems a bit boring and juice too sweet to go with savoury stuff. What do you have?

Water or wine

SunnyCoco · 17/05/2019 19:13

Wine and water

JuniperSling · 17/05/2019 19:15

A glass of wine or a can of Perrier & Juice (fruity but not too sweet).

pink412 · 17/05/2019 19:15

What or come zero

pink412 · 17/05/2019 19:16

Wine and water.

My mum drinks tea (with milk) with her meals and it makes me feel queasy!

Ivy44 · 17/05/2019 20:29

The squash v cordial debate may be regional?

Lozz22 · 17/05/2019 20:37

At the moment I'm drinking Fanta lemon with my evening meal but that's only because I'm on holiday. Normally I don't drink anything with my evening meal but will have a cup of tea shortly afterwards unless I'm working and then I'll run in grab a slice of toast and shove that and about a quarter of a cup of tea down before running back out the door

DulcieRay · 17/05/2019 20:37

If you're really posh don't you drink high juice?

cathay123 · 17/05/2019 20:40

Water unless we're having fish and chips from the chippy and then it's tea. Wine or beer occasionally.

DullPortraits · 17/05/2019 20:43

Water as a whole but if we go out for a meal i have diet coke or lime and soda depending where we are as well

Seren85 · 17/05/2019 21:13

Fizzy water, diet coke or wine if eating out. Fizzy Vimto with a chippy tea though.

mononokeswolf · 17/05/2019 21:25

Tap water

HicDraconis · 17/05/2019 21:42

Wine, unless I’m on call, or soda stream fizz. Usually wine though.

starzig · 17/05/2019 21:42

Cordial is posh squash. Glass bottle = cordial. Plastic bottle = squash.

featherflight · 17/05/2019 21:43

Filtered water

FenellaVelour · 17/05/2019 21:45

Water or Pepsi max. Wine on a Friday.

bluechameleon · 17/05/2019 21:47

Squash. Usually orange lemon & pineapple, but sometimes lemon or apple & blackcurrant. I don't drink while I'm eating though, only afterwards or between courses. I always get behind when we have wine because DH drinks throughout.

ooooohbetty · 17/05/2019 22:16

I find it hard to understand how people eat a meal without drinking during it. I find it very difficult to do. Maybe I don't produce much saliva??

Tunnocks34 · 17/05/2019 22:38

Water, although my sons have fresh juice because the youngest is on movicol, and I need the juice to hide the flavour. Dentist said juice is better given with a meal than on its own. And obviously if the youngest is allowed fresh OJ then the eldest has to have it too 🙄

Proseccoagain · 17/05/2019 22:43

Always wine.

flyingspaghettimonster · 17/05/2019 22:43

Water if we are out, sweet tea or lemonade if at home.

delilahbucket · 17/05/2019 22:45

I don't have a drink while I'm eating, but after I tend to have water. Sometimes squash or if want something "nice" I'll have a posher squash with tonic. If I'm drinking alcohol I don't tend to have anything until 8pm onwards.
