I think he's such a talented actor, and seems a really nice, humble guy. Aibu not just not get over his affiliation with The Sun newspaper? It just ruins him for me.

Anyone else have a celeb they want to like but just can't for some reason?

George Clooney and the Nescafé thing Sad

SneakyGremlins · 16/05/2019 17:07

Nescafé????

Cautionsharpblade · 16/05/2019 17:08

Emma Thompson. Just can’t get away with her but there’s no reason. I’m delighted when she opens the Joni Mitchell CD.

AnyoneButAnton · 16/05/2019 17:12

The lovely George sold his soul to Nestle to sell Nespresso machines. Never been so disappointed in anyone.

DaanSaaf · 16/05/2019 17:33

Agree with both, especially Emma Thompson.

I don't understand is he advertising the sun ? Ellie Golding and pantene "strong is beautiful" shurrup Ellie !

pepperpot99 · 06/06/2019 08:32

It was Kelvin M and The Sun that maligned the victims of the Hillsborough disaster all those years ago and many people in the city have not forgiven them. I guess SG is viewed as a bit of a traitor in that regard.

Mrsjayy · 06/06/2019 08:32

Emma Thompson I am dead ordinary i am one of you equality blah de blah ooh damehood Confused

Brefugee · 06/06/2019 08:35

Not only George with Nespresson - but the lovely Peter Gabriel allowing them to use Solsbury Hill. So disappointed in both of them.

pepperpot99 · 06/06/2019 08:43

Idris Elba has sold his soul to the Murdoch Devil as well. Bastard, it's not as though he needs the cash is it?

Sircat · 06/06/2019 08:55

George Clooney apparently uses most of the Nespresso money to fund satellites to keep the president of Sudan honest - eg troop movements (as it has been reported over the last six years). Maybe that will make it Ok for some of you that were disappointed.

Mrsjayy · 06/06/2019 09:00

George Clooney funds satellites ? That is a bit conspiracy theroist

Sircat · 06/06/2019 09:02

I only know what I read in newspapers. Google it.

pepperpot99 · 06/06/2019 09:03

"to keep the president of Sudan honest". what on earth are you going on about?

Fraxion · 06/06/2019 09:04

Mrsjayy · 06/06/2019 09:08

I can't find anything about espionage satellites but he is currently urging people to boycotting Brunei owned hotels

Mrsjayy · 06/06/2019 09:11

Goodness me every day is a school day that has blown my mindGrin

Sircat · 06/06/2019 09:11

Honestly just google “George Clooney satellite Sudan”.
Whether it is effective or not is yet to be determined, but that is where he spends the Nespresso money according to the internet.

Mrsjayy · 06/06/2019 09:19

Sorry to have teased you about it I know imagine George in his satellite room watchig it unfold

mumwon · 06/06/2019 09:21

SerenDippitty · 06/06/2019 09:26

Kelsey Grammer. He supports Donald Trump.

NoSauce · 06/06/2019 09:29

Sircat · 06/06/2019 09:30

CNN, huff post, al jazerra, the guardian, Wikipedia etc. Yes but you are right the internet isn’t reliable.
