AIBU to worry?

I just want to start this by saying I don’t think I’m being unreasonable, but would like to hear if others have gone through this if it’s been nothing or if it’s something I shouldn’t worry about.

So to start with I had my appendix out 2 weeks ago, had all the classic signs of appendicitis and the procedure was quick. Recovering has been hard, one of my incisions got infected which I needed antibiotics for and generally just feeling rubbish. I’ve been getting stomach pains and I know maybe to much information here but sometimes diarrhoea.

Today I received a letter in the post saying that the lab report they done showed some that some cells normally associated with longer term inflammation. That I didn’t have to worry unless I was still having abdominal pain or diarrhoea and to call if I did for further testing.

So now I’m worried what it could be and when I phoned the receptionist is on annual leave until the 23rd.

If anyone’s had anything like this and can put my mind at ease, I’d really appreciate it as my birthdays soon and I don’t want to be worrying constantly.

I think you need to contact your GP if it's impossible to contact the department which sent out the letter you're referring to.
You really need to contact a health professional and get advice as soon as possible.
