Wales
WHAT???Shock
Seriously?
Most of Wales is bloody gorgeous.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 13/05/2019 21:34

Australia is too fat

I always thought they were quite slim from all the swimming and surfing Grin

Redcrayons · 13/05/2019 21:35

Anywhere cold - I can freeze my arse off in the .Lake District and still sleep in my own bed.

Dubai and most of the Middle East

I quite like the idea of Australia and New Zealand but they're so far away. Until they move them closer or I can afford to go first class it's not happening.

floraloctopus · 13/05/2019 21:35

Albania is well worth a visit, especially the far south.

Leobynature · 13/05/2019 21:35

RottnestFerry Are you actually trying to tell me Australia is not racist 🤔

LtGreggs · 13/05/2019 21:35

Gulf states - no
North Africa - been there, never ever want to go again
Not keen on anywhere urban, would make exception for a short break and major cultural highlight.

I am quite fixed in my liking of mountains (Scotland, Alps, Andes...)

allfurcoatnoknickers · 13/05/2019 21:36

Any Hi-de-Hi style holiday camp (Butlins etc.).
Anywhere cold. I have been dragged on ski holidays twice and NEVER AGAIN.
China
Saudi Arabia

FaffyFaffington · 13/05/2019 21:37

I love the poster who said Jaywick Grin.

There are very few places I wouldn’t go. They’d have to be genuinely dangerous, gov’t advise not to travel to etc.

GarnierBBCream · 13/05/2019 21:37

Gulf States
C. America
Mexico save a couple of the islands
S. America
Australia/New Zealand/Antipodes

piefacedClique · 13/05/2019 21:38

Dubai!

foodiefil · 13/05/2019 21:39

Dubai

Holidays there are just an ostentatious display of wealth, a lack of class and zero awareness of the poor human rights standards. Just UGH!

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 13/05/2019 21:39

Anywhere where women and LGBT people are treated as second class citizens (or worse).

Amsterdam is somewhere I’ve absolutely no interest in going. Don’t ask me why I couldn’t tell you.

Parents are just back from Australia and DM hated the stopover in Hong Kong. Said you couldn’t pay her to go back. Loved Singapore on the way out though 🤷🏼‍♀️

haverhill · 13/05/2019 21:40

UAE and suchlike.
South America has never appealed for some reason.
I would like to visit Scandinavia and Micronesia.

YouBumder · 13/05/2019 21:40

Australia - spiders
NZ - looks OK but not worth travelling all that way for. My friend says it’s just a far away Scotland (where we live)
Dubai/UAE. Stifling hot desert. No thanks
North Africa
Mexico
Magaluf and it’s ilk

Nofunkingworriesmate · 13/05/2019 21:41

Any where where it's not safe or legal to be gay

Petalflowers · 13/05/2019 21:41

Never fancied Thailand or any of the gap year destinations. Then was watching Race Across the World, and began to see their appeal.

Ski resorts in winter - hate snow and ice

WitchesGlove · 13/05/2019 21:41

Devon and Cornwall are way too expensive for what they are- much nicer and cheaper to go to Scotland or Wales

Plus, motorways are not good and everywhere is super-crowded in the summer

Still18atheart · 13/05/2019 21:42

Someone who is half Cornish half Bradfordian I flouncing Wink but fwiw

My no go list are:
Benidorm
Lanzarote - only because my dad calls it
Lanzargrotty
Blackpool - went once never again
Magaluf
Any of the major party places - although secluded Ibiza doesn’t sound that bad.
Butlins - went once never again

BeardedMum · 13/05/2019 21:42

Disneyland
Dubai

Ronsters · 13/05/2019 21:42

Dubai
Magaluf
Any Disney resort
New York
Places like the Seychelles, idyllic places with white sand beaches. I would love to go for a couple of days as they look so stunningly beautiful, but I think I would be bored to tears after that.
Santorini

thenightsky · 13/05/2019 21:43

I'd not rule anywhere out tbh. The whole world is worth a look, even if it's only once.

cosytoaster · 13/05/2019 21:43

Anywhere:

  • very hot
  • very commercialised
  • very party orientated
  • with nothing to do but lie on a beach
  • with poor women's/human rights
Capara · 13/05/2019 21:43

Can't believe how many people have said Turkey!! It's bloody amazing. Dh is a history buff and we spent a month backpacking all over Anatolia. It was fabulous. Great sights, history, nature, food, people. Istanbul was just superb. What's not to like let alone make the list of detested places?!

tigerbear · 13/05/2019 21:47

Blackpool - my most hated place ever!
Hated it, would never ever go again

Applesbananaspears · 13/05/2019 21:48

Husband went to Jerusalem said it was a shit hole

It’s so far from a shithole. Much of the old City is a typical Middle Eastern market but with nobody hassling you. The architecture is magnificent, most of it is spotlessly clean, it’s virtually impossible to eat badly and there’s no risk of food poisoning plus tap water is drinkable. There are some Amazing restaurants, a great cafe culture, good shopping, an efficient and clean air conditioned bus service.
