Anywhere that allows religion to rule over women. The Gulf States, the United States.....

MallySally · 14/05/2019 11:23

Personally, I wouldn't go to the Maldives because it's just not my type of holiday. I hate sun and sand, not a fan of just lying on a beach being bored, don't drink, nothing to do other than inane spa treatments or boat rides. Nah, not for me at all. I'd rather go to Birmingham and I loathe Birmingham.

Lozz22 · 14/05/2019 11:26

@BuildBuildings Scarborough or similar. Definitely don't come to Bridlington then!! You'd be scarred for life with our shitty little town and horrendous traffic jams because of new one way systems and constant road closures!! We do however have beautiful beaches which on a sunny day look picturesque whilst driving along beside them. Especially when the sea is so calm and tranquil

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 14/05/2019 11:30

India - I can't tolerate most spices, so wouldn't be able to eat much

Butlins - I'm a bit scared of organised fun (probably watched too much Hi de Hi as a kid)

Blackpool, Skeggy etc - I've been for day trips but it doesn't appeal

LysistrataLady · 14/05/2019 11:45

Russia
USA
China
India
Scunthorpe 😬
Great Yarmouth...is not so great 😏

Would love to go to Australia 😊

lisalocketlostherpocket · 14/05/2019 11:50

Las Vegas

Any of the Gulf states

Anywhere where I am likely to come away with a horrible stomach bug, India being the most obvious example.

TheRedBarrows · 14/05/2019 11:51

Disfordarkchoc I don't know - it is still on my fantasy list Grin. I have a woman friend who went on her own, she had a wonderful time, wasn't hassled and none of her photos make it look at all busy. I will ask her.

lisalocketlostherpocket · 14/05/2019 11:52

I think Western Australia is ok if you don't like spiders. Or better, anyway. Not as many cockroaches, either.

lisalocketlostherpocket · 14/05/2019 11:53

Scotland is just too cold

Well on a cold day, obviously. But not between May and September. I don't think anywhere can beat Scotland, actually.

outvoid · 14/05/2019 11:54

Lots of places don’t interest me for no reason, I just think they seem rather dull. Australia is one of them, Thailand another and Florida too. Basically places people go to ‘find themselves’ or with Florida, I just think it seems tediously twee.

Some places I wouldn’t wish to visit because I don’t want to be killed or get ill so most of Africa, parts of Asia, most of South America.

Then other places I just find tacky beyond all comprehension such as Benidorm, Magaluf, Ibiza et al.

lisalocketlostherpocket · 14/05/2019 11:57

Cruises are brilliant! You get to wake up and get off in a different place every day without packing and unpacking a single thing

Actually I don't need to go to India to pick up a stomach bug. I can just go on a cruise.

Oliversmumsarmy · 14/05/2019 11:59

lisalocketlostherpocket

This was July

Oliversmumsarmy · 14/05/2019 12:02

I live some parts of Florida

The Keys and Miami are lovely.

I think people think all of Florida is like Orlando.

kaytee87 · 14/05/2019 12:03

@Oliversmumsarmy exactly. I've been to Orlando, Miami and The Keys. All totally different places.

Mrsjayy · 14/05/2019 12:09

I like Orlando I enjoyed the biz of idrive I hated Disney loved universal . Key west was a spectacular place and nothing like Orlando

EmrysAtticus · 14/05/2019 12:16

Having been to Indonesia I would say any country with high levels of poverty. I am still haunted by some of the things I saw there and I wouldn't want a holiday where I didn't leave a complex for fear of what I might see. Am very excited to explore huge amounts of Europe however.

EmrysAtticus · 14/05/2019 12:17

Oh and not the ME (although some of the historical sites in Iraq would be amazing) and Australia doesn't appeal due to heat and spiders.

Don’t fancy much outside Europe
Long flights would ruin any holiday for me.

Wouldn’t like any type of cruise or holiday where people might want to make friends 🤣

Gth1234 · 14/05/2019 12:25

A lot of these are jokes. Howe can Devon and Cornwall be on anybody's list. How can Ibiza be on anybody's list?

DizzyPigeon · 14/05/2019 12:25

But not between May and September

We had hail last week... It was bloody cold!

MallySally · 14/05/2019 12:34

How can Ibiza be on anybody's list

Because we are all different and some of us don't like it there?
