I'll try and keep this short...DP & I worked together for quite a few years - same company, different areas. It started going badly downhill a few years back, and I left. DP has been trying to get out, but his job is much more impacted by Brexit, so he's found it a bit tough.
He's got through to eight final stage interviews. One was last week, and they've called him this morning to offer him the job. The salary is decent, but it's two hours drive away - quite a long way! He currently works half an hour or so away.
He has another final stage interview at the end of May, with a company two minutes or so from where he currently works.
Both are with the same interviewer. His dad has advised him to accept today's offer, and go to the interview later in the month anyway, and then take the one that suits him best. I think both jobs are pretty similar other than the distance away; so he'd probably go for the closer one. But, I suspect if he accepts the offer he's got now, the recruiter will cancel the interview at the end of the month... He wants to ask, but I'm not sure if that'll worry the recruiter.
What's reasonable here? I suspect he needs to choose, but that's hard when one hasn't offered yet and might not!
