Takeaway feast

Would it be unreasonable of us to indulge in a takeaway feast...one dish from 5 different restaurants?

We'd have:

Samosas
Chow mein
Chicken tikka kebab on naan
Veggie pizza
KFC gravy

There's three of us to share this and we'd not eat the lot I'm sure.

We had the idea after seeing the just eat ads where the table of food clearly doesn't come from one restaurant!!

Personally I couldn’t do it, too much of a mash up!
What will you put the gravy on?
That said, you eat what you want love 😉

recrudescence · 11/05/2019 22:02

Yes, what’s the gravy for?

IceIceCoffee · 11/05/2019 22:06

Thinking that it isn't exactly a feast between three people and expecting more is why Im having to work hard not to be fat

ridiculousridiculousness · 11/05/2019 22:06

To use as a dip for the drier items.

We'd probably also get chicken wings while there tbf

What would be the ultimate mash up for you? Feel like we may have played it 'safe'

You lost me at the gravy. Dipping into the Papa John’s garlic sauce YES. Gravy? Nah

recrudescence · 11/05/2019 22:08

I do not approve of dipping pizza in gravy.

KOKOtiltomorrow · 11/05/2019 22:09

Get the mash to go with the gravy and you are sorted. Although I'm not sure this would work in real life as opposed to the advert.....how would they get the stuff from different restaurants to the delivery guy????

Whitelisbon · 11/05/2019 22:18

Apart from the gravy, we have an awesome takeaway locally that does all of that!
Chinese, Indian, pizza, chippy, Mexican, kebabs, burgers, the lot.
We use it far too often occasionally Grin

Mammyloveswine · 11/05/2019 23:21

I like a big old chinese salt and chilli munchy box if i fancy a feast... but just for me Grin

No other takeaway hits the spot anymore.

Greeborising · 11/05/2019 23:43

My absolute favourite takeaway (which I haven’t had for 5 yrs) would be a large doner with extra chilli sauce.
I just can’t do it to myself

dreichuplands · 12/05/2019 00:07

I miss a haggis supper with red sauce, vinegar and iron bru ( full sugar).
But orange chicken and noodles is a lot better than nothing.

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 12/05/2019 02:35

When we have a takeaway for the whole family, we order from two different places. DH and the boys have pizza shop things and DD and I have Chinese.
The recipients of the first one to arrive gloat over the hungry still waiting ones Grin

BeanBag7 · 12/05/2019 04:58

Sounds horrible. I like all those things except gravy but they dont go together. Given the choice I'd have a Chinese feast -' all the deep fried starters and loads of sweet and sour sauce

cantfindname · 12/05/2019 05:39

My ultimate takeaway feast is a mixture of all things Indian. Sadly my local Indian seems incapable of serving HOT food any more and after waiting for it no one feels inclined to have to reheat it all.

Chinese is good but fills me up too fast because I am addicted to deep fried chicken balls so I never get to sample all the delights,

SukiPutTheEarlGreyOn · 12/05/2019 06:11

We’d probably go for:
Lebanese halloumi wrap
Malaysian fried rice and Yum yum chicken.
Aubergine balti and cucumber raita.
Spring rolls
Garlic bread
(yep, ridiculous I’m pretty sure one of the Dc would also be requesting KFC chips and gravy)

It feels all kinds of wrong contemplating this before breakfast Blush

RhiWrites · 12/05/2019 06:34

You’d pay a lot in delivery charges unless you go and collect it.

I pick:
Dominos garlic pizza bread (must be a juicy one)
Chip shop chips
Bean curd with cashews in yellow bean sauce
Lebanese cauliflower
A puri bread and Indian salad in a bag

MyCatHogsTheBed · 12/05/2019 07:58

The gravy is SO random in there! 😂
