Watching Sextape on C4 after catching a glimpse on Gogglebox 🙈

Aibu to think if that's how half the country shag and think they're having 'good sex' - it's no wonder so many of us are totally miserable or not that fussed about it 😂

That stupid woman's giggle would make me lose my hard-on and I don't even a c*ck 😳

They aren't reality tv types, they're all totally normal people

Yes of course they are. Normal, well-adjusted people definitely want their sex lives on the telly. Hmm I can't believe that a) people watch this kind of stuff and b) think it's reliably representative of real life.

The OP's a bloke.

TooTrueToBeGood · 11/05/2019 20:45

They aren't reality tv types, they're all totally normal people*

And the word "gullible" was removed from the Oxford English Dictionary......

Raga1 · 11/05/2019 20:51

What I lack in talent I make up for in enthusiasm

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 11/05/2019 20:54

Just why the fuck would you want to see this Hmm are you some secret closet sex pest who gets tuned on by other people’s mundane sex life.

SomewhereInbetween1 · 11/05/2019 20:56

Fiveredbricks what are your credentials as a sex expert to think that your kind of sex is the only good kind of sex?

MarieToulouseBerlioz · 11/05/2019 20:59

Omg I watched a bit of that last night! The man who liked to be stood on by his wife and then never even had sex with her!!? Unvelievable and so selfish!

Yes I agree it seems some are clueless. Funny how sometimes you think other are having more sex or better sex than you and then you see things like this and actually they probably aren't at all!

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 11/05/2019 21:00

And on a more serious note who are you to decide that these peoples sex lives are shite Hmm

You don’t need to be fucking from a chandelier to have good sexual sex

yearinyearout · 11/05/2019 21:27

VladmirsPoutine someone wanted to put their finger up your bum on the bus home? I can't imagine anyone being happy with that!

VladmirsPoutine · 11/05/2019 21:44

year it was in high-school; 15yr old me was most certainly not enthralled by the proposition.

Fiveredbricks · 11/05/2019 22:30

@HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend my point is none of these are having good, sensual sex 😂 they're not even fucking. They're mostly like awkward teenage virgins who never quite figured it out.

And to the pp, I'm not a man 🙄 unless I'm a man that has also posted about my childbirth experiences, and the fact my thyroid meds have fucked up my period too 😂 amongst many more. The only dick I have is my husband 🤷 thanks. But not hard to spot the woman/women having shit sex on this thread is it??

OP posts:
Fiveredbricks · 11/05/2019 22:33

@TooTrueToBeGood have a nose at them. They deffo wouldn't make it to Big Brother or Love Island or whatever other shite is on TV these days. Sorry my lack of knowledge on what constitues 'reality tv types' isn't as indepth as yours 🤷 I clearly am not watching enough contrary to popukar belief from some.

OP posts:
RabbityMcRabbit · 11/05/2019 22:54

This is why I don't watch TV...

justarandomtricycle · 12/05/2019 08:50
Hmm

Personally I'm more concerned that a lot of entertainment media is openly going in a weird porn-like direction to get attention. That says much worse things about our societies than any judgment of people's sexual prowess.

...and what is sexual prowess as an objective measure, anyway? People want different things, one woman's fabulous lover is another woman's insufferable sex pest.

Lovemusic33 · 12/05/2019 08:56

Agree with Fiveredbricks

Love how people are passing judgement without actually watching it, it’s nothing like big brother or live island. I don’t think tv are going in a weird porn direction, I think it’s more about changing the way we talk about sex and nakedness, it’s always been a bit of a taboo subject and it shouldn’t be, we all do it but we don’t talk about it enough (even to our partners). Maybe if people talked more then the sex would be better? People should be able to discus what they do and don’t like in the bedroom.

I was wary about watching it, thinking it was going to be some weird people fucking in front of cameras but it’s not really like that at all, they talk about relationships and how sex effects peoples relationships.

Oblomov19 · 12/05/2019 09:05

I can't bare to watch the programme. Saw it on gogglebox. Surely these people are just a bit dim. Exhibitionists?

manicmij · 12/05/2019 17:34

The mind boggles at who on earth would take part in those programmes and the the kind of folk who watch them. Uf no one switched on there would be no revenue to make the stupid programmes in the first place.

JacquesHammer · 12/05/2019 17:36

Love how people are passing judgement without actually watching it

You don’t need to watch it to be able to suggest that extrapolating a small sample size to “the general population are shit at sex” is a bit foolish.

FelicisNox · 12/05/2019 17:38

I think bad sex is definitely an issue: too much porn watching and not enough sexually confident women taking the time to 1) find out what makes them tick and 2) communicating what they like.

It's rare to find a man who's good in bed, despite what they would have us believe they DO need directions.Wink

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 12/05/2019 17:44

And I only clicked to answer the question in the OP: AIBU to think the general population are shit at sex?

To which my reply is "YABVU unless you've shagged the general population."

puppy23 · 12/05/2019 17:58

A few of them like to think themselves as youtubers and a couple have been on other programmes before this so maybe are fame desperate but can't see them getting it (hopefully).

Agree with all their sex lives looking crap, and I genuinely don't understand how she didn't injure him standing on him like that (or why she'd agree to do that in the first place).

newjobnerves · 12/05/2019 18:09

@puppy23 has the Scottish girl from the first episode been in something? She seemed really familiar to me.

SimonJT · 12/05/2019 18:10

@newjobnerves

I thought that too.

puppy23 · 12/05/2019 18:11

@newjobnerves yes I think it was those two who'd been on couples come dine with me
