Aibu to ask you to help me choose my takeaway

I’ve come down with a crappy cold and sore throat and am craving something spicy. Additionally I’m plonked in front of Netflix watching the street food show.

So - I fancy trying something a bit different to my bog standard takeaway order. (I usually have the standard suspects from any Chinese/Thai/Indian takeaway) So aibu to ask for your suggestions for spicy food from a takeaway that go beyond the usual.

(P.s habe access to quite a few places on uber eats so other cuisine suggestions like Korean food etc welcome).

What would you normally have from an Indian restaurant?
I like chicken Karahi with plain rice.

Moominfan · 10/05/2019 20:20

I always go for a lamb Karahi but I'm usually full up on poppadoms and samosas

DancerDan · 10/05/2019 20:21

Doner kebab of course

HeyMicky · 10/05/2019 20:22

Vietnamese. Rice paper rolls and some pho

NeverHadANickname · 10/05/2019 20:22

Something with paneer and spinach for me. And a naan bread. Definitely popadoms and mango chutney. And then there is prawn on puri. It's a good job when I get Indian food I share with other people, not sure I could pick just one dish. There aren't any Indian restaurants near me.

pinkmagic1 · 10/05/2019 20:22

Lamb palak

hahaboink · 10/05/2019 20:24

I’m having a chicken katsu. 😀

MyKingdomForACaramel · 10/05/2019 20:26

@neverhadanickname I love prawn puri - now there’s an idea. What’s lamb palak?

Salt & pepper beancurd, soft noodles, shu mai, fan gaw, veg in birds nest. Hmmmm....

Wingingitsince2018 · 10/05/2019 20:32

Definitely go for Vietnamese Pho, it's delicious and excellent for clearing you sinuses!

Chippychipsforme · 10/05/2019 20:36

Chicken tikka bhuna, garlic naan, poppadoms & mango chutney, vegetable samosas, onion bhaji. Couple of bottles of lager to wash it down. Perfect.

ThisIsTheEndgame · 10/05/2019 20:37

Garlic chilli masala, basmati rice, onion bhaji.

ChickyDuck · 10/05/2019 20:40

If you have a Thai, how about Laksa? Lovely spicy fragrant coconut broth with noodles and other lovely bits!

chillychicken · 10/05/2019 20:41

Chicken Naga. Spicy and delicious.

iklboo · 10/05/2019 20:45

I had a lovely tub of leftover chicken tikka murgh makul in the freezer. Or I though I did. DH ate it last week when he was drunk and I'd gone to bed Angry

Treaclepie19 · 10/05/2019 20:47
