To ask if Sebastian is a very bourgeois name?

my OH really likes the name Sebastian and so did I but I’m beginning to have doubts as I’ve seen it used twice in pop culture recently to be scathing of the middle classes (most recently the Waitrose ad...ironic)

So - give me your honest opinions - do you feel as strongly about it as you do about Archie?!

I know so many little boys called Sebastian. It's so popular at the moment. I have 3 DC eldest is 4 and there is a Sebastian in every group we go to.

I do think of it as a bit of a posh name, but you and OH should choose whatever name you like best!

There’s loads of them where live. In every baby class there is generally a Sebastian, Oliver and an Oscar. Those are definitely the names round here where there will be multiple kids in each class.

I like Sebastian. I think it does have quite posh connotations but I also think we should stick two fingers up to that - it’s a nice name and you like it, that should be all that matters!

I can't hear the name Sebastian without thinking of Lil Sebastian the miniature horse from Parks and Rec, and Andy's (Chris Pratt) tribute song.

I used to think of Sebastian in the same way as barnaby , a bit foppish and weak. However I have met a few adult Sebastian’s and they have all been massive, tall built like brick shit houses handsome men so I have changed my mind! I also like seb.
