To ask a really stupid question...

Well I think it's stupid?

I'm home early and would like to cook dinner right now. Its enchiladas. I dont want to cook them and then microwave them later as it makes the cheese go weird and rubbery.

Is there a way to cook it in the oven and them keep it warm in the oven without it burning everything and cooking it further?

I feel so stupid Blush

Why don’t you just prepare it and then put it in the oven in time for when you want to eat it?

AliceRR · 09/05/2019 15:33

I sometimes prepare lasagne then put it in the fridge until I’m ready to bake it for dinner

Agree not ideal to cook it now and then have to heat it up

Wot Alice said

Put foil over the top of them and low heat in the oven

InTheHeatofLisbon · 09/05/2019 15:35

Alice has it, I often put together lasagne, or enchiladas/cottage pie/pasta bakes in the morning and then just cook in the oven when needed.

Oh and it's not a stupid question, we all had to ask it at one time or another Grin so don't worry about that!!!

homemadegin · 09/05/2019 15:38

Yup, Alice has it.

I'm cooking for loads of lambing staff just now and always prepare morning cook evening.

StormcloakNord · 09/05/2019 15:42

I'm not very housewifey if you can tell! Thank you Alice, that's exactly what I'll do

No problem OP

Enjoy your dinner!

You’ve made me think about making enchiladas for dinner too 😬
