I'm returning to work in 3 months, to quite a senior role. It's not my first leave but so much has changed during my time off. Including a new boss. It's now really unclear what role I'll be returning to as bits of my role seem to have ended and bits are being done by a variety of other people.
New boss seems nice but keeps fobbing me of with fact he is new and still evaluating work when I ask for clarity. I am super nervous about returning and fear I will either sit in a role which doesn't really exist or that they will make me redundant. Can anyone tell me any good news stories about returning to uncertainty ?
I've tried looking for other roles but it's a niche role, but will keep going.
