Amazing stuff! They have form for pulling these kinds of amazing comebacks! Just need City to mess up the league now!

Coldilox · 08/05/2019 07:20

Sore head and throat this morning!

Nishky · 08/05/2019 07:21

I have been to Anfield once too, in 1996 when they beat Newcastle 4-3 in the best premier league game in history. We benefited from the fact that two season ticket holders were stuck in Ireland due to bad weather disrupting the ferry..

It was amazing- even arriving back in Birmingham at 2:00 am to find we had been burgled didn’t ruin the night

Jabee · 08/05/2019 07:26

Just amazing! DH picked our son up from the match - family only had one ticket and DH gave it to DS - and he is hoarse from singing. He went to sleep with his programme in bed with him (he's 23 !).

GOODCAT · 08/05/2019 07:30

Nishky I remember that 4-3 game even as a Newcastle supporter. It was brilliant. Last night was so fantastic for Liverpool.

Nishky · 08/05/2019 07:33

GOODCAT it was truly brilliant- a fantastic night- I only found out I was going at 5 pm as I was sitting in my office at Birmingham- only just made the start of the match

fluorescentorange · 08/05/2019 07:34

AguerosAngel

That sounds like a fine deal then. I just love Man City. I try to convince my DH he looks like Pep and I feel that he is the DH I never had if he knew me in the 80’s he would be mine 😝

DonkeyHohtay · 08/05/2019 07:36

DH is a Liverpool fan and is chuffed to bits. Was dancing around the house last night.

Would be fantastic if they could go on and win the thing.

Reddedder · 08/05/2019 07:37

I was rooting for Barcelona and I can’t stand Barcelona. I really don’t like Klopp. He’s arrogant. My only consolation is that they have no chance against Ajax in the final. I’m aware that Ajax isn’t there yet but they will be.

MrsCasares · 08/05/2019 08:10

Dh trying to make out the dog is a Man City fan. Fgs the dog comes from Merseyside Dogs Trust and wears a red collar. He’s a red, through and through.

My dad is a lifelong red and is terminally ill. Can't tell you how much last night boosted him. I hope it's LFC's season

Livpool · 08/05/2019 08:26

My DH is a Blue (I am a Liverpool fan) and even he was happy for us

randomchap · 08/05/2019 08:57

My DD loves football and asked if she could stay up to watch it. I didn't manage to get her to sleep before midnight she was so excited.

Absolutely amazing night, possibly the best performance I've ever seen. DD wants to be Alexander-Arnold.

Contraceptionismyfriend · 08/05/2019 09:30

My husband woke up buzzing to tell my 5 year old.
We've promised him he can watch as soon as he gets home from school. But we did want him the Klop says a naughty word Grin

edsheeranpaidmoretaxthanccola · 08/05/2019 09:34

Leaveonthewall. That made me tear up. I'm so glad he got to see it!

hellsbellsmelons · 08/05/2019 09:37

I watched leg 1 in Liverpool and the locals were full of optimism about the 2nd leg.
They had an amazing comeback and I was really happy when I heard the news this morning.
Well done Liverpool - Never underestimate them!

loveonthewall · 08/05/2019 10:25

Thanks edsheeran. It was fabulous to his permanent worried expression turn back into the huge deep laughter lines I associate with him x

Fiveredbricks · 08/05/2019 10:28

@Zoflorabore we're blues on an entire street full of reds. The noise was INSANE. He needs to not be bitter, we'll win the derby one day 😂

Zoflorabore · 08/05/2019 10:35

Five I would move Grin

We're in a small Close and it's there are a few of us blues thank god.

Ds got up for school today and said that if "they" win the double then he's emigrating. His GCSE drama grade is predicted to be an 8/9 which has been proven right with his amateur dramatics since the match!

He's going to Spurs on Sunday and will have one eye on the match and one eye on his phone looking at the scores.

burblish · 08/05/2019 10:58

@Rededder - I cannot agree with you that Klopp is arrogant, and I’m not just saying that because I’m a Liverpool fan. He may not be your cup of tea, and that’s fair enough, but arrogance is not one of his faults.

purpleboy · 08/05/2019 11:03

Best night I've had in a few years. We always pull it out of the bag. The strength and passion is something you will never find at another club. And Klopp doesn't know how to be arrogant 🤣

My poor 84 yr old father had to go out for dinner last night, he was so gutted he couldn't cancel, but he got home in time for the last goal, Sunday he is at a wedding, and just to top off his bad luck with watching big games, the 2005 final I had bought mum tickets to the theatre and he wouldn't let her down by not going. He did manage to get to the pub next door in time for the penalties though! 😆

Hearthside · 08/05/2019 11:05

My DH is a Liverpool fan and was made up last night .I have some brilliant liverpudlian friends, lovely City .Well deserved Grin.

Nishky · 09/05/2019 08:47

I wonder if Rededder will return to this thread 😂

MrsCasares · 09/05/2019 12:09
