AIBU to be suspicious

Name change for obvious reasons.

Currently sitting in my husbands car, opened the glove compartment to find £300 cash, a packet of wet wipes, a pair of latex gloves and a toilet roll.

I've got a theatre ticket for tomorrow night and a car handbook in mine.

Perhaps he's a contract serial killer?

Lllot5 · 07/05/2019 17:02

I used to keep latex gloves because I didn’t like the way my hands smelt after filling up. Toilet roll same as tissues and wet wipes. But not £300.

caughtinanet · 07/05/2019 17:06

Without knowing anything about your husband how can strangers possibly help you?

You know if it's dodgy, you don't need validation from others.

Unshriven · 07/05/2019 17:10

He's nice and hygienic, and keeps a decent stash of petty cash.

What's not to like?

SunshineCake · 07/05/2019 17:11

I'm more suspicious of you, OP.

TheMobileSiteMadeMeSignup · 07/05/2019 17:11

Joining Chandelier's gang.

I have my deceased father’s salt pot in mine ...he left it in there and I don’t have the heart to chuck it out Grin

ShitAtScarbble · 07/05/2019 17:14

Why do they all say this

Name change for obvious reasons

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 07/05/2019 17:18

I have latex gloves and wet wipes in my glove box as well as a small box of tissues. Gloves for if I need to do anything to the car like change a wheel, fill up fluids (even the washer fluid cap can get quite mucky) etc. Wet wipes and tissues for general cleaning up (mainly of DCs) after eating in car on long journeys.

£300 cash.....that I don’t have in my car.....

BBQsAreSooooOverrated · 07/05/2019 17:22

Gloves for filling up with fuel? My DH always gets it on his hands 🤷

wildcherries · 07/05/2019 17:22

1/10

CammieKennaway · 07/05/2019 17:26

My husband has latex gloves in his car too and not sure why wet wipes etc are odd.
The money may be he's just been paid for something or he's just drawn money out for something?
I wouldn't be suspicious if my husband has those things and if I was, I'd just ask him

Acis · 07/05/2019 17:27

Incontinence problems?

Silvercatowner · 07/05/2019 17:29

If he's hiding something then he's a bit crap at it.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 07/05/2019 17:29

He's off dogging for sure.

LunaAzul · 07/05/2019 17:30

Is he in the Police? Is there a balaclava too? And a burner phone?

LaurieFairyCake · 07/05/2019 17:30

Everything apart from the cash is normal

With the cash he's clearly trying to buy sex

Acis · 07/05/2019 17:30

When I recently used a garage air machine to pump up my tyres, I really could have done with the gloves, wet wipes and tissues. After grappling with the valves on four tyres, my hands were absolutely filthy.

notatwork · 07/05/2019 17:33

[reeeeeaallly]

Mrsmadevans · 07/05/2019 17:33

Apart from the £300 it could have been my glovebox tbh

Tistheseason17 · 07/05/2019 17:35

Okaaay! It's the £300 which makes it interesting!

SignedUpJust4This · 07/05/2019 17:36

Throw in some chloroform and some duct tape and it sounds just like the contents of my handbag.

madameratatouille · 07/05/2019 17:38

Is it all just for emergencies?! He sounds quite organised! Has he been through some kind of training about what to keep in car for emergencies maybe?

In mine you'd find an empty packet of wipes, winter gloves which I haven't put away yet, loose change and a load of junk dc have put in there. I'd back your dh's choices, tbh.

PeakedTooEarly · 07/05/2019 17:43

Well we now know he's not H anyways Grin

I have wet wipes, loo roll (and a porta potti loo) tissues and a fair bit of cash. I'm as boring as it gets.

NarcissistMum · 07/05/2019 17:43

£300? Result!!
