To think this is weird bin behaviour.

I'm working from home not procrastinating on MN much and my car is on the drive. Random woman with dog I have never seen before has just dragged our bin all the way up the drive and put it tidily next to the other one. Bin men came between around 8.30am & I haven't been outside yet.

Maybe she likes to do random acts of kindness Grin

It's annoying when people don't bring their bins in, blocks the path for pedestrian, prams and wheelchairs. Would have moved it aswell as I refuse to take my kids into the road to avoid a bin.

I used to move people's bins occasionally....I'm not nuts. But if the bin man left it blocking the pavement I would sometimes move it to a drive. Same with recycling boxes.... especially if it's windy and they are blowing in the road. She's just a friendly neighbour.

Mabelface · 07/05/2019 12:17

That was nice of her. Wish someone would bring mine in for me!

managedmis · 07/05/2019 12:18

Yeah man that's weird

Nowt as queer as folk

Kaddm · 07/05/2019 12:18

some people obsessively tidy up

my2bundles · 07/05/2019 12:20

I think it's weird that you are home, know the bin was emptied around 4 hours ago but haven't bothered to bring it in.

FreeFreesia · 07/05/2019 12:25

I wouldn't think it was so weird if she had just nudged it on to the drive.

It wasn't blocking the pavement. The street has a bit of grass verge between the pavement and road. The refuse collectors always put the bins on that.

I usually bring the bin in when I'm heading out.

Neighbours not bringing in bins for days drives me potty. Makes the area look ridiculously scruffy. Your kindly neighbour probably thinks YABU

FreeFreesia · 07/05/2019 18:57

Nope there are other bins still out even now, it's a long street. We always bring it in same day when get back from work.
Maybe she is just kind with a dash of weird.

Maybe she has a visually impaired relative. I do and ive been known to do similar. Though I do find it a little odd she brought it all the way in rather than just out of the way.

Troels · 07/05/2019 19:38

That was nice of her.
I want to do that for our neighbours but Dh say not to they'll think I'm nuts. But they leave it out for a couple of days and I have to reverse around it. It's annoying.
